1. If you want your lipstick to last longer, store it in the fridge.
   
   
2. Never use a tester on your lips believe me you don't want to know where it's been. You can, however, put it on your fingertip. Most gals test it on the back of their hand when in reality your finger tip resembles the truer color of your lips.
   
   
3. Useing a lip pencil first as a base before applying your lipstick will help it last longer. What you'll want to do is outline then color in your lips with your pencil and slick your lipstick on top. If your color is light you can used a nude lip pencil.
   
   
4. Hate lipstick on your teeth? Here's a tip, after you've applied your lipstick run one of your fingers through the middle of your lips and pull it back out. The excess will come off on your finger, not your teeth.
   
   
5. If your desperate for a little cheek color, your lipstick can double as blush. But blush on your lips is a bad idea.
   
   
6. To avoid having your lipstick feather try lining your lips with a liner on shade lighter than your lipstick.
   
   
7. For those lovely ladies over 50 pick up cream lipsticks en lieu of matte or gloss. Your lips will appreciate the moisture.
   
   
8. And what's the cure for that too bright lipstick? Try coloring your lips with a pencil a few shades darker that your lipstick (for example a brown pencil under dark red lipstick. You'll then want to layer the lipstick on top. Or you can coat the lipstick with a darker lip gloss.
