What a shame!

I'm so sorry and sad that this discussion group is not what it used to
be. I was an occasional poster but constant reader. I miss hearing
what the "regulars" have to say. Too bad....

Yes, the sad deterioration has been mentioned before. Supposedly there
is another group that has been set up. However, I believe that it is
an urban internet myth. I asked to join. The result was just more spam
in my inbox.
I miss the group the way it used to be before the spammers, flame
warriors and trolls took it over.

The sad deterioration of the group has been mentioned before.
Alt.Fashion used to be "one stop shopping" for discussion of of all
things fashion related. I have been thinking about that the last
couple of weeks since we are now in the midst of awards show season.
The morning after the Golden Globes, and particularly the Oscars,
there would be scores of posts about what the stars were wearing on
the red carpet.
Every year when the September and March fashion magazines came out,
there would be discussion of the trends –– which ones worked, which
one were ridiculous.
There was always plent of discussion about makeup and recommendations
for skin care.
I miss the group the way it was before the trolls, flame warriors and
spammers took over.
There has been mention of another, alternative alt.fashion that had
been set up. I believe that it is an internet urban myth. I asked to
join this group, and I noticed that my email inbox was a bit more full
of spam than usuall.

Awww, have faith. This isn't uncommon in usenet but I do admit this
invasion has been a bit much. Eventually they'll get bored and go away.
I'm sure af will return to what it was meant to be and stay like that
(eventually)...

I have also been waiting for the trolls/spammers, etc. to depart.
I have had to rely on my own make up advice :(
I have tried reading blogs but they are just not as eclectic.

I keep checking the group but find less and less each week that I want
to read here. Maybe someday it will change, but this trend has been
going in the wrong direction for too long already.
