How to wear ankle boots with pants!?

Help! I bought a pair of ankle boots (flats) that look very similar to
these:

But, I can't figure out how to wear them with jeans! Even my skinniest
jeans won't stay down inside because the boots are so short.
Any advice on how to wear these boots? They are too cute to go to
waste...

Evidently they are too short to wear with your skinny jeans. If you
have any flair or bootcut jeans wear them with your boots. But of
course with the pants on the outside. Sorry, I know of no other way
unless you buy some jeans that mop the floor as you walk. :–(
Anybody else have any suggestions??

i would FORGET about tucking in my jeans with those boots.

The only options I see are leggings/tights (not high on my list; at
least not since the 80s) or a long skirt (in which case, tights would be
okay).
