Is there a replacement for Egyptian Broadcloth?

nicksma...@gmail.com
I need to buy some shirts and have always had a problem with my beard
chewing up the collar of most shirts, long before the shirt appears to
be worn anywhere else.
In the past there were shirts made of Egyptian Broadcloth and the
collars of those have lasted well. However, when I bought shirts in
the past there was a good selection of both dress and casual (including
buttondowns). But now it looks like the selection is limited to just
white and blue dress shirts in most places.
Has anyone with the same problem had success with pinpoints (whatever
that is) or some other type of weave?
Any info would be appreciated.
TIA

This is not exactly an answer to your question but another way to work
around your problem.
If you can have your shirts made–to–measure usually you can order more
than one collar, which could later be used to replace the first collar
when it wears out.
