After dropping the baby off at school, I stopped by a neighborhood
estate sale, at I house I had always been curious about anyhow.
The house was in great condition, all the original wordwork had been
expertly maintained, not dry or discolored at all.
Anyhow, they must have been great partiers, because the sheer amount
of
leftover party suppllies was staggering. I skipped the paper napkins
and tablecoths, I even skipped the leftover (blank) party
invitations
a shock for me.
There were stacks of linen embroidered tablecloths and napkins, many
holidaythemed but not all. Most were totally unstained, and many
seemed as though they hadn't been used. Many were only $5!! I bought
a stack of tablecloths and several old aprons that were really cute!
I also bought an old wraughtiron umbrella stand for my husband's
abouttoopen new restaurant.
Ob fashion:
There were some clothes, they were ugly. The aprons, however, I think
may have been the pinnacle of 60's fashion in the home, over a dress,
with pearls and high heels .

What fun! My best estate sale find was a beautiful pink linen
tablecloth and 12 napkins all with my last name initial embroidered on
them. Our thrift shop received the leftovers from an estate sale two
weeks ago. There were several ashtrays from the Beverly Wilshire and
other hotels.
