Will trimmed eyelashes grow back?

My son's college buddies trimmed down his beautiful long curly eyelashes as
a silly prank, along with shaving off one of his brows. I know the brow will
grow back but will his eyelashes grow back to their original length and
curl?

They will undoubtedly grow back, but what an awful prank. How do you
trim someone's eyelashes as a prank? That sounds dangerous.
