What came in the mail

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
http://tinyurl.com/cz54x These arrived yesterday. They are so trendy
for the season. I wore them 10 minutes yesterday and want to try again
on the carpet daily for a few days to make sure they will fit
comfortably without nylons. Also I have to think about outfits for
them.

My beautiful new handbag, Audrey! Hopefully will break it in on
Sunday. Probably staying home tomorrow and catching up on whatever
needs catching up on.
Cole Haan makes such great looking bags.
Also delivered, some southwestern design pillows for my family room
from a shop in New Mexico.

Yes I remember when you ordered them. They are so pretty. For the first time
in years I have been considering buying espadrilles.

The espadrilles are lovely! They instantly made me think of a peach
sundress I had when I was much younger.
I've seen them in a lot of stores, but no flats yet! :(
I'm hoping that warmer weather will bring out a greater variety of
styles. Heels, even with a wedge, aren't for me. (Too clumsy, to be
truthful!)

Livvy, I can see you wearing the ones with the thin laces that tie on
the legs, very feminine.

I love the customer service at Arthur Beren. Immediately after I placed
my order a salesperson called to say they weren't even off the boat and
asked if it was ok that it would take awhile for the shoes to arrive.
Since it is still raining here I don't need peek toe shoes until it is
definitely warmer. When Carol and I shopped at Nordstrom I saw lots of
sandals already in the stores. There are some great styles. There was a
gorgeous pair by Vince Camuto, not yet pictured on the web site, that
was a deep turquoise with turquoise stone. It also came in tan and the
leather was gorgeous. Unfortunately for me the largest size was a 10.
Anyway I've learned that inventory is often slow to arrive so you just
have to be at the store at the right time or develop a friendship with a
sales associate.

Great idea. I have a tulle dress I've worn with kitten heel pumps throughout
the winter. Cream colored espadrilles with those laces would be a great way
to update it for spring. Thanks.

I completely fell in love with these:

Way too high a heel for me. I've never spent that much on a shoe, but I
have on artwork. I wonder if I could justify buying them as such: put
them on a shelf in the living room and just admire them daily – maybe
even learn to walk in them someday.

Me too, Debbie, but I can't see myself running after DS2 AKA The Dasher in
these! I think they're beautiful.

My 22 year old came home yesterday and saw me wearing them in one of my
ten minute test periods. She told me that they were the trendiest shoes
and certainly more suited for her than me; we wear the same size. I
just flaunted my feet :)

Sigh. This is why I have girl–envy. Although I'm going to be able to
wear One's sneakers pretty soon (and he just turned 9 this month!).
They are VERY cute, BTW. Enjoy them (and let us know when you break
down and lend them to your daughter).

Well, I tried on her new BR shoes today. They are cute but I am done
buying shoes. She is really hard on shoes so it would have to be a very
special occasion for me to let her wear the SWs. I do let her wear a
lot of my shoes.

I'm going to wander by Nordie's to see if they fit me, and if they do,
and don't cause leg cramps, I'll wait for a few months and see if I can
find them on clearance somewhere.

"David RL Gärtner, RMT" <derbarb...@gmail.com>
got two pairs of slides from Skechers.com:
http://shop.skechers.com/shop/men/shoes/special/index.jskx?STYLE=SANDALS&INDEX=0&VIEWALL=FALSE&SORT=NEWEST&PRODID=716585
i bought two pairs cos the little rubber nubbies on the sole seem
to wear out and come loose, but the shoes are just so
comfortable! by the time the pair i bought last year really
started falling apart (nubbies coming off left and right), they
weren't available anymore in stores, and the website didn't have
my size.
also got my new Madonna Tshirt that came with my iconmadonna.com
membership.

Well, limiting it to fashion–related stuff:
FOOTWEAR NEWS (no sneakers this week other than in the ads)*
Target Corporation Annual Report+
* – last week's issue had about a quarter–page article about
Wal–Mart's "Metro 7" line expanding into footwear.
+ – the cover this year had a design that was made with what appears
to be ClearRx bottle rings along with the Target Bullseye (of course).

Wellll, yesterday, actually, I received a small amazon box that had
*my* name on it... but the contents were a pair of lovely diamond stud
earrings that I'm a 100% certain I DID NOT ORDER MYSELF.
I think I accidentally opened a Mom's Day gift early. If it had had
The Child's or DH's name on it, I would've let THEM open it. I think
maybe DH wasn't paying attention to the "mail–to" addy when he ordered
them. My amazon screen and mail–to addy is pretty much the "default"
when you enter amazon from Firefox on this 'puter.
I didn't come clean last night, but I will when he gets back from
working on the school's computer network later today... I suppose. He
won't be angry, but I think he'll be disappointed he missed surprising
me, since we had deliberately planned on no gifts at all for
bdays/anniversaries/etc this year (dental work..., $$$$$$$$!) :=(
kpr54, guilty as charged.

Well, maybe he won't be too disappointed if you are obviously thrilled with
the gift...and he did, after all, surprise you. Just not on the exact day
he planned to. Congratulations!
