sort of OT –– Device to put lotion on back

"Barbara" <mom_2_...@hotmail.com>
I was wondering if anyone was aware of a device that could be used to
apply lotion to portions of the back not normally accessible.
Dad has eczema, and needs to apply a steroid creme on a regular basis.
Mom recently passed away (it was very sudden, and its too difficult to
discuss as of yet), so he's alone. I live 2–1/2 hours away, so I'm no
help.

Try a pharmacy – one that carries things like braces and adaptive aids
for home healthcare. The one where I currently work carries this item
for applying lotions, sunscreen, etc. It looks like a long handled bath
brush with no bristles. Several customers have been very pleased with
these.

Condolences, Barbara. I've seen some of those back scrubber things in the
Solutions catalogue and Miles Kimball. Sometimes they have a loofah thingie
on the end and sometimes one of those plastic scrubbies. Would that waste
too much of the cream?

Thank you so much Jamie (And Rose, who found almost the same product
for me). I just ordered one to be sent to Dad. I didn't have a clue
where to look; this takes a bit of worry off my mind.

You're welcome. Eczema can be a maddening thing as my oldest son has it
intermittently (5). He would wake up screaming and scratching in the middle
of the night when he was 2 1/2. I can't imagine not being able to reach it
to relieve the itch.

here's another product too:
it's a different take on the lotion application and might be easier for
those who may have arthritic conditions:
Body Buddy
5504 Inverary
Edmond Ok (anyone know where this is?)
1–888–848–6872
website: www.bodybuddy.com
http://www.bodybuddy.com/howto/ this has photos and drawings on how to use
it..
I think this would be IDEAL for applying self–tanner and would make a more
even application than even my SO could do. It's even machine washable.
I have no affiliation with this product. I just happened to see it at a
store

Now that looks like a good product. I'm sure we'll order one but I get the
feeling we'll need more. Thanks for the tip ;–)

Walgreen's carries these in the suntan lotion section.
