What came in the mail today

"A. Pasch" <harrietthe...@ameritech.net>
Actually yesterday. My Sephora order of recommendations by Afers and a few
old favorites.
Old favorites include:
*Sugar Face Polish (I love the way this smells and the way it makes my skin
feel)
*CSP Vanille Abricot. I've never been particularly attracted to foodie
scents before, but I got a sample of this with my last Sephora order and
found that it just made me feel good. My preschooler also loves it when I
wear it and likes to give me extra hugs because I smell good. So how could
I not?
New–to–me products:
*Paula Dorf Eye Primer. I got this as a substitute for my beloved but
discontinued Tony & Tina Herbal Eye Base at the recommendation of (I think)
Audrey. It's thicker and stickier than the T&T, but I think I'm going to
like it. It's harder to apply, but it smoothes out crepiness and
discoloration nicely. As an added bonus (and I think Audrey may have
mentioned this, but I can't remember), it makes a fabulous concealer. I've
been becoming disenchanted with my Mac concealer, which feels too heavy and
tends to crease on me these days. This is much lighter and blends
beautifully, even without foundation. Definitely a keeper.
*Stila "sun shower" eye palette. This is my first ever Stila purchase and I
was not disappointed. I was charmed by the packaging right away –– a canvas
foldover magnetic palette with flowers printed on the cover. Inside there
is a mirror and, on the clear plastic cover of the palette itself, an
Elizabeth Barrett Browning quote. Poetry and eyeshadow in one! The shades
are sparkly, which is a switch for me. I generally wear very neutral, matte
shades. But the go on beautifully and don't crease at all over time, a
quality I have never before found in a sparkly shadow. The colors are warm
and beautiful. This will be a nice spring addition to my makeup kit.
*Caudalie Eye Lifting Serum –– This was a sample and I've tried it just last
night and this morning, but I have to mention it because the results are
astounding. After just one application last night, there was noticeable
reduction in visible wrinkles, puffiness and eyelid creping this morning.
I'll try this for a few more days before I buy, but so far I'm impressed.
My only caveat is that the texture is fairly thin, which is good for a light
application and means a little goes a long way, but it easily washes into
the eye, which stings. You need to be careful and apply very lightly.

Mine always wants me to save a squirt for him! He loves it too! His
absolute fave is Vanille Banane.

You will be suprised how little you can use of the PD primer. It
spreads quite well. I am glad you are pleased. I've been using the
Stila palette almost every day.

I stopped wearing it at work because the kids were always blurting out,
"Who smells like cookies?"

I don't wear it to my evening class because I don't want to torment the other
students, but
when I do, I will!

Yeah, but....isn't that good? I mean, coming from a growing young man who,
I'm sure, could eat everything in the house? Seems to me that marshmallow
coming from an eating machine is quite good!
Ha!

Ha!
Well, one might think so but my–son–the–eating–machine somehow is
missing the gene for marshmallow mania; to him, they just taste and
smell unbearably yucky. And once he said the Vanille Abricot smelled
like that, I suddenly realized I agreed with him. And that, as they
say, was the end of that.
