"Smooooth" Eyeliner

BONJI...@webtv.net (Bonnie)
Can someone PLEASE suggest an eyeliner (pencil/or retractable) that
doesn't tear at my eyelids when applying it? Looking for something that
glides on smoothly. I've tried everything from .99 to $30. No liquids
please. Thank you all–your the best.....~Bonnie~

Have you tried MAC fluidlines? I really like them even better than
Bobbi Brown gel liners. You have to apply it with a thin brush and I
have better luck with it than I do with pencils.

Have you tried MAC Power Point liners?

Cat Cosmetics eyeliners go on more smoothly for me than any other
pencils I've tried. They've also just introduced gel liners, which I
haven't tried yet. http://www.catcosmetics.com

I've been using a Benefit liner that has a smudge sponge at the other end.
I love this pencil. I've never been able to use a pencil before; always too
hard, requiring too much tugging. The few really soft ones I'd tried have
no staying power. The Benefit pencil is soft enough to apply but has decent
staying power. Finding a good sharpener was another challenge...

The Body Shop pencils are pretty darn soft, at least they used to be.
How about giving it a shot of hot air with the blowdryer to soften em
up? I have done this with eyelash curlers, but be careful not to get
it TOO hot or you'll brand your lids.

Stacy is right about the MAC powerpoint pencils. They are very soft.

I've been loving Armani eyeliners. The colors look gorgeous on, they
stay, and they are like silk going on.

The only eyeliner I have ever successfully used that doesn't tug, pull
or smear is from Smashbox. It's not cheap, but it lasts forever and
Smashbox has at least a dozen wonderful colors to choose from. This is
a cream liner (smooth and creamy, but not gunky) that is applied with
either a liner brush or their brush that comes with it. You can see it
at www.qvc.com.
