what I got today

"AJ" <ajfash...@att.net>
My lovely FedEx woman just delivered my IPod Nano. I cannot
believe how small it is, and elegant. My one gripe is that the
ear buds are white (my Nano is sleek black). I'll probably end
using the expensive ones I got for my previous MP3 player (which
was a Rio) anyway.
But oh, what lovely design. About the size of one of those teeny
Trish McEvoy lip palettes that came out a couple of years ago.
And they engraved it! (The Nano, not the lip palette.)
Now for the endless nightmare of getting the software installed
and transferring all those songs. . . .

The ear buds were uncomfortable for me, and I recently read that ear
buds may damage hearing more easily because they're in the ear. I
ended up getting a pair of Sennheiser headphones that sound great, are
very lightweight and comfy, and fold up into a case the size of a large
glasses case.
What I got: A couple of t–shirty tops with gathered neck from APC––kind
of a peasant–top variation on the t–shirt. Like them a lot.

Instead of listening through the earbuds/headphones, all the time,
I bought a radio made by Tivoli (I am not affiliated with them)
with an Ipod direct connection. They have some with a charging dock,
as well. The sound is very good.
irect connection to the Ipod. The little radios come in fashionable
colors and have very good sound.

Congrats on the nano, AJ.
I found a great dress marked down from $189 to $34 in a department
store, while cruising for workout wear (as a gift! heavens! not for
myself!) It's absolutely darling – a LBD with a dark green
underlining, so it's not harsh... and it's not anywhere on line so I
can't link to it. But it's a knockout dress! I couldn't resist.
also, a starbuck's gift card and a sephora gift card – all for S–I–L's
birthday...

So its Tuesday morning and FEDEX just dropped off my iPod Nano. I got
white, since
I knew all the little goodies that came with it were white. I love the
fact that Apple engraves
for free! I can't wait to play with it tonight after work and load it
up with play lists
and songs! Now, to find a case for it.

I am so jellus of those of you with iPODs. I have absolutely no music
machines and am so out of it.
My NM order arrived. The tote came in white with silver trim so Randy
did a good job. I tried the samples of lip stuff to help prevent fine
lines and the undereye cream last night. I am glad the Cartier fragrance
is too grown up for me.
I'll use the BB peony blush today. My other products were skincare.

I got a Sandisk m250 (2 GB) really cheap around the end of the year.
FWIW, 99% of the time it's used as a FM radio (a feature not on an
iPod) but it'll store about 24 CDs...@ 192kbps.

I just read the reviews about it on amazon. We bought the middle child
an iPOD for Christmas, but I don't think I need anything that expensive.

I thought the ear buds were very uncomfortable. I use my Ipod only when I
travel so I didn't want to get big headphones. I found a good compromise
(at Radio Shack, iirc). They are regular headphones but the fold up into a
more reasonable size. I carry the Ipod and headphones in a small zippered
case that was probably designed to be a cosmetics case.

p.s. Selling just a few vintage items on ebay. I spent a long time writing
the description of the Valentino dress, so I'd love a.f.ers to read it even
though it's a small size. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcofarbQQhtZ–1

The ear buds kill me. They are made for bigger ears than mine, i
think.

I've skimmed through it but haven't read it cover–to–cover.
Well, it definitely pokes some holes in even the official Converse
FAQ.
Coffee table or a serious read? TIA.
Something for sneaker freaks to enjoy.

I'm glad you were able to use the coupon. I need to look at the yoga
set.
Audrey
My best coupon so far this year expired 5/3 but we were able to use it;
$25 gift coupon from Breck's with no strings attached. Yes, there was
no minimum purchase required but it was for those who have ordered from
them and had accounts. We bought daffodil bulbs to arrive for next
spring's bloom.

I had a "natural" planting with Crocuses, Daffs, Narcissi, and tulips in the
Connecticut house, very attractive and looked nice all spring.
