boot cut is different from flare boot cut isn't nearly as wide as flared
jeans
straight leg is also different since it's the straight line from thigh to
the ankle or shoe top.
Tapered or slim means that it tapers from the thigh down to the ankle or
shoe and thus presents a much narrower view

....turn into "flared" jeans, and when did "straight leg" turn into
"slim/tapered"?????
I'm looking for jeans that go over the shoe, more of a relaxed
hollywood style. That go over the shoe without sweeping the floor or
without that 70s flare. Not European tight with a visible "bulge" or
not the hiphop baggy pants dropping look either.
Anyway, as far as I remember, boot cut means goes over the boot like
Old Navy's. But I just bought a pair of Abercrombie ones, and they are
extravagantly flared. Heh?
I understand straightleg as being the baggy hiphop look.
Also, I usually wear 36 waist, but that there seem to be 2834237
variations!
Anyway, just hoping someone can break down the bootcut, straight leg
distinction once and for all.
