i'm not sure if the guy was serious or not; i'm sure i could find
out if i wanted to. but i really don't expect certain privileges
just for doing my job.
a guy who was very flirty came in tonight to get his hair cut.
we were pretty swamped – just me and the new guy; that's right –
the new guy who takes 30 minutes to do one haircut. i digressed
so quickly. anyway – there's about six people waiting, and we're
only open for another 45 minutes or so, and this flirty guy says
he's going to the supermarket to get a few items and he'll be
back in a few, did we want anything? he got me a Ghiradelli
chocolate bar, and the receptionist two bottles of Sobe juice
drinks. so i'm cutting the guy's hair and i casually mentioned
that i'm going to Nordstrom to return some socks cos one has a
hole in it – brand new, never worn Calvin Klein socks. and he
says something like, "oh, you're going to get all kinds of stuff
from Nordstrom now, my wife works at the Trish McEvoy counter
there. i'm gonna hook you up – you'll get the employee discount,
i think it's 30%. oh, and i can get you into Cap City Comedy
Club for free." turns out this guy does the voice of an old lady
named Gladys for a local radio station. here's a link, if you're

i assume you're talking about the ebay photo? that was taken a
few years ago – in 2003, i believe. but my skin is still
blemish–free, and while i have a few fine lines, i don't yet have
any deep wrinkles, and i'm 35. so i was 32 in that picture. my
secret? the one i learned here, of course: pantothenic acid
(1000–1500 mg daily). i also use Clinique Dramatically Different
Moisturizing Lotion a few times a week.
