What good web resources do you know of about wardrobe planning?

casiocult...@gmail.com
I'm starting to pay careful, methodical attention to what I wear and
what clothes I have in my wardrobe as advised by this page. What
similar web resources do you know of that contain such good theoretical
background on lines and colour, image management and wardrobe planning?

I have a lot of fashion–y books on fashion design, dressing, and
wardrobe planning. My all–time favorite is _Ready to Wear: An
Expert's Guide to Choosing and Using Your Wardrobe_ by Mary Lou Andre.
It's jam–packed with all sorts of good, quality information and advice,
not the fluff that a lot of other books in this category tend to have.
Good luck to you! :–)
(I am in no way affiliated with this book or the author).

Thanks for the suggestion Laura. I checked on Amazon and it's available new
& used with the latter being very cheap. Guess I'll have to order one as it
does sound good.

What do you guys think of The Pocket Stylist by Kendall Farr?

This was pretty good, but she divided the book into sections for
different body types; A, B, C, etc. I didn't fit into one particular
group, so it was hard for me to get specific advice about what might
work with my body type. Kendall Farr works with a lot of celebrities
and she seems fairly knowledgeable. Another good one is _Full Frontal
Fashion_ by Melissa Sohns, but this is more about options on what to
wear for specific events. There is a section on cleaning and
organizing your closet, though. These books are good for me when I
have tailoring issues or need to know etiquette for specific functions.

Are these books – Ready to wear, and the Pocket Stylist – suitable for
men or are they just for women? I now have a copy of Carol Spenser's
Style Directions for Men, which I found quite good.
