Shopping from your closet March In Style

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
This is a good article and it really helps to have jewelry hanging where
you can see it. After finishing my WAYWT post, I realized I looked like
I was going to a funeral. Well, yes, I am going to a memorial service
but the deceased was a fun, crazy person who would not have wanted a
solemn celebration of her life. Instead of the plain gold earrings I am
wearing the black and gold damascene from Toledo, Spain. I put away the
gold bracelet in favor of an ivory bracelet, one inch wide carved pieces
of ivory on an elastic band, and ivory heart pendant. I put on my cute
Taryn Rose black and white maryjanes instead of the plain black flats
and switched to a red Furla handbag instead of the black one. Shopping
from your closet is fun.

Gee, Audrey, I didn't think your jeans outfit as first described sounded
particularly like funeral wear. It is nice to honor the person by wearing
some accessories you think she'd have gotten a kick out of, though.

I had to cut down on my fashion mag subscriptions and InStyle was one
of the casualties. But, Audrey, you've persuaded me to pick up this
issue at the newsstand––sounds like fun!

EMD, I'm a recent subscriber but sometimes I think it's better just to
get the March and September issues of certain mags because that's where
they have all the good stuff for seasonal changes. I mean who needs to
know the top products of the year every single year when we know a lot
of the choices are affected by the advertising? January and July issues
are very small. January will have the new diet fads and July will
probably feature men.

hahahahahahahahahahaha! This just cracked me up, Audrey! You're too
funny––and spot on.
I agree with you that the key issues are September and March. I'm
going to let my subs to Vogue and Bazaar lapse soon, which means the
only one I'll get monthly is Allure. I find it to be pretty
consistently useful and entertaining; I'll pick up the others
semi–annually, as per your suggestion.

I've had to do the same over the past few years but just re–subbed to
"In Style" and I'll do the semi annual buy and read with Vogue, Allure,
etc. Now I'm glad "In Style" was my choice because I can't wait to see
this article. I have plenty of summer clothes and will probably be
able to do lots of shopping in my closet.
