Aside from this being spam, why would anyone want to pay so much for a
pair of rubber shoes? I'm not into water sports that much but a pair
of tevas usually work just fine as do cheap Lands End imitations.
Don't knock 'em 'till you've tried them.
I don't use them for watersports (which I'm not into either). However,
they are *wonderful* if you work on your feet, and I do (so long as they
fit one's workplace dresscode).
Both my jobs are on your feet all day every day. Crocs are not
especially attractive (usually described as 'cute in a ugly way') but
they are *amazingly comfortable*. Have to be tried to be believed and
no, most of the imitations, such as the ones from WM, are not nearly as
good.
Several nursing friends tell me they are fabulous for being on your feet
for 12 hours. They come in cute colors that coordinate with today's
professional nursing wear, scrubs in colors and prints. Reasonably
priced and easier to keep looking good than traditional nursing shoes.
The better brands also have the added benefit of being autoclaveable, at
least in the styles aimed at the healthcare community. Several
healthcare outfitters on the Internet have a wide selection at very
reasonable prices.
Also useful for gardening, washing the car, walking the dog, etc.
If one is on one's feet all day, they are worth it. Foot comfort can be
worth quite a lot to those who work standing and walking all day.
YMMV, of course.
