i bought underwear (technically yesterday) at Express Men, and at
Nordies. the SA at Nordies was gorgeous. so there i was,
sitting at the checkout (can you believe it!? they had
stools!), and i'm just looking at the SA (male). and i'm
thinking to myself, "he's really pretty." and then i said, out
loud, "you're really pretty." he looked at me, and i said, "did
i say that out loud?" he said it was ok, but i was still
embarassed. i can't believe i said it out loud. i'm gonna make
certain that next time i'm at Nordies, i get him to ring up my
purchases they all work on commission there.

That story is too cute. Don't feel bad, David. It happens. I made the
mistake of telling my coffee barista at Starbuck's that he looks just like
Roman Polanski on Friday. Then he wanted to chat forever and got all
friendly and goofy once I said it. Now I'm afraid he thinks it was a come
on. (No biggie...I have a Tully's card, so I can just get coffee there from
my regular little fiery redheaded twenty something super quick and
professional barista instead and attempt to bypass the whole situation.)
He said "women tell me I resemble Tommy Lee Jones, too? Is that true?".
Unfortunately, it was not very true, except maybe in his nose. If indeed it
had been true, I'd have possibly jumped over the counter and probably
tackled him. Tommy Lee Jones is a honey and a half, that one. Can't wait to
see his new movie, which he also directed. (The Three Deaths of Melquiades
Estrada I think is the title of it.)
I was a *BAD* girl shoppingwise this week, though. I bought the Thierry
Mugler Alien Prodigy Cream, I bought Terax Delicato in the one liter shampoo
bottle from Italy (But I scored it for a good deal on Ebay since I was the
only bidder...hahahaha! The two day shipping is gonna' be expensive, though.
I have *so* missed the scent of that shampoo lately, though.)
Then I bought The new Double Disc set of the rerelease of the Daniel Day
Lewis, Juliette Binoche and Lena Olin film from the 80's "The Unbearable
Lightness of Being" based on the Milan Kundera novel. Damned Amazon seller
shipped me the single disc version by accident, though. I received Disc 2
without Disc 1 in the box, so I got the film but none of the new and
improved 2006 extras. Amazon is fixing it and the replacement arrives on
Monday, thankfully.
Also bought a Splaff hemp bag (www.splaff.com click on Our Products and then
scroll down to La Playa Bag to see my purse tote.) that looks like black
denim with white stitching, but it's really dyed hemp fabric. It's very cute
and will hold the Truman Capote biography (it's like 600 pages!) that I'm
reading right now quite nicely. Got it at the little neighborhood Vegan
retailer. They have really cute nonleather wallets and handbags. I have to
stay out of there!!!! Made the mistake of asking if they carry my favorite
(Amy's) organic white cheddar and spinach pizza there and they said "Nope!
Sorry! That one has CHEESE on it!"....God, I felt so embarrassed. LOL...
Got the new Shakira "La Fixacion Oral" disc/dvd in *both* the English and
Latin version, too, with my Barnes and Noble discount card. Intended to only
get the English, but B&N is naughty and they let you listen to ANY disc you
want and I immediately fell in love with the Latin version, too and couldn't
help myself. It was gorgeous. I've been anxious for this one to be released
in English since I liked her "Laundry Service" one so much.
Got the new Dove Nightime body wash this week, too. It moisturizes really
well for Winter weather and smells like lavender mixed with chamomile.
Drugstore.com had the 24 oz. size for pretty cheap. Really pretty scent.
Nice and soft and delicate and doesn't clash with my parfums.
