When I wore them, the dry cleaner kept them looken the way I liked.
Otherwise, get some of that "rid" dye and give them a re–darkening every
couple washes.

OK, I seem to dimly recall two suggestions but don't recall the
details; I'm sure someone else will, though. One was adding salt to
the water, the other was adding white vinegar.
Now let's wait to find out the real deal...

There are also sites than maintain you need to use cold water and turn
the jeans inside out. Others say to dry clean. Fewer the washings or
cleanings help too.
