Used to be I didn't consider buying eye shadow from drugstore lines because
they didn't seem to have as much pigment as the department store lines. But
lately that seems to be improving. L'Oreal (I think that's who it is) now
has a high pigment line which I haven't tried but considered. I recently
bought a pallette from a line called "Isadora" that's pretty intense.
Another color I discovered that I just love is Maybelline's "Electric Blue".
To me it looks more like an aqua. I line my eye with a Mac "Blooz" pencil,
then fade and extend upward with the Electric Blue shadow. Looks awesome!
I had much the same problem, finding most mass market shadows were
either so so quality creams or poorly pigmented. I like the L'Oreal HIP
stuff but the colors are not quite right for me, so I'm mixing them
with others.
L'oreal had some well pigmented stuff (over the summer maybe?) in a
line of matte, perle and regular shadows. I found the matte stuff to be
excellent powder liners.
Last night, I was bored after coming home form a party and headed t a
24 hour CVS nearby and grabbed a new palette from Lumiere and ws very
impressed. 9 shadows, all well pigmented with a nice creamy quality.
For $10 I was happy. I cought the neutral palette, but they also had a
pink/rose one and one in blues and greens.
