Two fragrances from a trip to Sephora –
For me: Dior Bronze Sweet Sun Eau De Bienfait Parfumee
I'm a little confused about this because it's called a 'treatment fragrance'
and doesn't contain alcohol but does contain Vitamin E.
http://tinyurl.com/nxm3c Anyway, I discovered last year that I loved the
fragrance but didn't purchase it immediately. The next time I returned to
Sephora, not only was it gone but noone had even heard of it or new if it
would ever be available again. So.. I'm glad I found it!
For him: http://tinyurl.com/pkczh Smells lovely to me! The SA at
Sephora advised that this 'Fraicheur Menthe' version is a lighter one than
the regular Pasha de Cartier.
That is all!

Oh I am on a shopping frenzy... both in stores and on ebay... bought
about 6 different t–shirts in various colors. These are my favorite
disposable t–shirts from Tarjay... they were on sale for 6.99 over the
weekend. Fit and feel fantastic. Also picked up a few of the tank tops
too. On to TJMaxx in search of LaPerla (ha ha friend spotted some in
Boston) didn't find any here but ended up with 3 new skirts and a
gorgeous goldish top (ooh la la)... then on to Kohls for 3 new pairs of
Capri's. My ebay findings were 3 more skirts. I think I am about ready
for summer. Sad about one of my skirts from Ebay... it was marked a 4
but dammit so beautiful and too, too big. Egawds...
Bought two more pairs of shoes also. Needy more heels!!
Love, Laughter, and Friendship,
Lisa

Friday, actually...visited Neiman Marcus on my lunch hour looking for
some incredible shoes for a party I had to go to over the weekend. I
had in mind a pair of high, black, Christian Louboutin or something
like that. But I wasn't impressed by the Louboutins or the Manolo
Blahniks. I saw a pretty cute pair of Gucci sandals with a flower
print and a bamboo buckle, but it's still pretty cold here and not
sandal season quite yet. I saw a pair of gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana
pumps with beige canvas body and dark brown leather toes and gold
buckles that I fell in love with. They were $475 though, and I don't
wear a lot of brown, so I had a hard time justifying the purchase.
Especially since the beige canvas makes them a spring/summer type of
shoe. Here's a link from Saks:
http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524446130511&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=282574492605593&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395222441&bmUID=1144791567341&ev19=1:14
So I said goodbye to them and went to Saks Off Fifth. There, the only
pair I found was a pair of Coach leather pumps with silver buckles that
were pretty cute, and $155 down from $240, but really only a shoe I'd
wear to work. And I though to myself, if I don't buy these, then I can
use that $155 towards the other shoes, right!? So I passed them up. I
went to Fields, where they have a pretty decent high end shoe dept. and
found the same Dolce & Gabbana pumps, but they were having a shoe sale,
20% off one pair, 25% off 2–3 pair, 30% off 4 or more pair! And,
incredibly, this applied to high end shoes too! I tried them on, loved
them, got compliments from other shoppers, and took this sale as cosmic
affirmation that I was meant to have these shoes! Plus, i got talked
into a Fields card, which saved me another 15% off. The salesperson
said that this was the first time Fields has allowed the discounts on
high end stuff. I did look around for another pair, to save 25%, but
it was crazy in the store, and I really didn't see anything I felt I
had to have. So altogether, the shoes will come to about $323. I feel
crazy thinking that's a bargain. I didn't find a skirt to wear them
with to the party, but I've since bought a beige pleated skirt from
Banana Republic which also has a gold buckle detail that will look nice
with the shoes.
http://www.bananarepublic.com/browse/product.do?cid=5022&pid=389857
And I'm thinking they'll look nice with white jeans and a brown top
once it gets warmer. I'm going to Scotchguard the fabric part and put
leather protector on the leather part. I'll also take them into a shoe
repair shop to have some kind of toe protector put on, since that's
where most of my shoes start to wear first. Other than that, can
anyone suggest anything I can do to keep them looking nice for a long
time? Other than just putting them in a display case and not wearing
them? :)

They're absolutely gorgeous and obviously meant to be yours. It really
is a bargain for D&G.

I just scored the biggest wad of Cofarbucks I've ever scored on a single item.
A few months ago I stopped in at Filene's Basement to look for a particular
Ralph Lauren top I liked at Nordstrom but never bought. It was a long shot but I
figured I'd give it a try. I didn't see it but I went to the two high end
designer racks and fell madly in love with a Gucci denim jacket. It's unbleached
off–white in color, it's made of a super heavy denim and the style was very
unusual. It's oversized but somewhat cropped. It almost looks like a short cape
with buttons on the hanger). It's shorter in the front (just above waist length)
than in the back (about hip–length). Hard to describe but it's definitely an
unusual jacket with nice details to it. Even though I loved it, I didn't buy it
because it was originally $1500 and was marked down to $699.99. Still more than
I was willing to pay for a denim jacket, no matter how unusual.
I was surprised to still see one on the rack during my lunch hour today and it
fit well. It was down to $399.99. I decided that while that's still too high for
a denim jacket, I'd get it because I had been thinking about that jacket for
months. Also, I've been looking for a funky spring jacket that would go with a
lot of clothing because most of mine are either too dressy for casual wear or
too sporty (think Patagonia or Columbia). As it turns out, when I whipped out my
credit card, I was thrilled to find out that while it hadn't been retagged yet,
it was marked down to $157.99! That's $1342.01 in Cofarbucks on one item that
cost me $157.99! And they forgot to deface the Gucci label inside (the ones I
tried on months ago all had silver numbers written over the "Gucci" name. Not
that it matters since it's very inconspicuous and no one would see it anyway).

Great score, Stacy –– and I could picture the jacket pretty well from your
description. It sounds very unusual and attractive.
