Over the past week:
Nordstrom Rack: Ugg shearling shoulder bag. I was thinking this would be
a good bag to carry my small classic rangefinder camera in, but it is
just a tad too small and is going to have to go back.
Banana Republic: pink deep–V cashmere cardigan, marked down from $148 to
$56 or thereabouts. Paid with the last of my birthday BR gift card so it
was about $20 out of pocket. Gotta love it!
Apple store: black Timbuk2 iPod case for Christmas iPod gift from BF.

From Target:
IM "little black dress" in a knit fabric–– sleeveless, and designed to
be worn either as a v–neck or a crewneck. Will see a LOT of wear in the
spring/summer months when I need to be "casually" dressed up. After I
purchased the lone medium, there were only smalls left on the rack, so
I'm glad I caught this one.
From BBW:
Off a 75% off table–– Lorac Cheek Wash in Sheer Ecstasy and Ahava
moisturizing face cream for normal to dry skin. I've read that others
have found that the Lorac bottles sometimes leak, so I'll have to be
careful. The Ahava cream is very rich. I love Ahava hand cream so I
couldn't pass up trying this. Both came to less than $14.00, which was
a pretty good deal.

Just out of curiosty, what the price was for the Ugg shoulder bag. The
small one in TJ Maxx was selling for $79, while the large one was going
for $99.
Thanks!

Actually what I ordered today, but I didn't see any ongoing "ordering"
threads:
From BR.com – Black and White 3/4 sleeve stretch cotton button–down
shirts
(I am so glad they got rid of the ones with the big buttons.)
Petite black mac/trench jacket – Every spring I buy one or two of these
and end up returning them because I can never find one that's the right
color, style, fit, etc., but I think this may be it.
From Anntaylor.com (using a coupon code and a gift card) – Montreaux
Dorsay Pumps
They are black and white (spectator inspired) with a high heel and
pointy toe.
"MaureyL" <Maur...@aol.com>
For me, the lesson is to never go to Marleybone High Street again! Too
many delicious wonderful things that I want!
From Roccoco Chocolates:
Two boxes of thin wafer chocolates––violet and geranium, two organic
artisan chocolate bars... sea salt and milk chocolate
From Daunt Books:
For my sister's children, the classic "This is London" and "Chimp and
Zee", both award winning children's books.
From Agnes b:
For me, me, me!! I got two tops in the sale... absolutely beautiful,
tasteful and classic... one tight tee shirt with horizontal stripes and
another linen zip front long sleeved shirt with vertical white pin
stripes. They cost me a whopping 90 pounds for the two of them and I
am completely in love with both of them. To the point where I am
considering never buying anywhere else but agnes b....

The purchases sound great, Maurey–– and I'd love to know what the
combination of sea salt and chocolate is like–– it sounds delicious!
I finally live near a Whole Foods and have loved trying different
chocolate bars (my town has no grocery!). My personal favorite has been
a dark chocolate with candied orange pieces. I think it was by Green
and Black's.

on the way home from ocean city md, at the banana republic outlet:
––short sleeve silk button down top, yellow, with ruffles

––dark dark blue pants

I had surgery this past Tuesday and had to get some bras to recuperate
in for the next two weeks or so... once my incisions heal and calm down
I'm sure that I'll be able to wear my old faithful bras without
incident. In the meantime, I got the following:
Sloggi bra ––microsheer fabric, very soft and comfy underwires. Not
much support but keeps everything in place while things are getting
better.
Berlei Shock Absorber crop top bras, one turquoise and one black/white
reversible–– again, no lift or separation but does a good job of
keeping my breasts in one place and is low cut enough not to bother my
armpit incision (had lymph nodes out and this bit is swellling up and
being annoying) I'm going to use these two to sleep in and after I
recover, they will come in handy as Bikram bras or just plain old yoga
tops.

Marshall's: Wacoal ivory mesh and lace underwire bra, msrp $72.00, for
$12.99. The store was a huge mess and I was exhausted or I would have
searched for more in my size. I also considered buying a very pretty
sheer red Cosabella underwire priced at only $9.99, but I decided it
didn't have sufficient support.
Charlie Perrin <nikve...@sbcglobal.netNOSPAM>
Best Buy: Two AAA 8–packs. (Going to buy them at Target or Wally World
in the future. They're cheaper... even when you have a REWARD ZONE
certificate to use at Best Buy!)
Dillard's: Two lighter blue polo shirts.
Chevron: 9 gallons...@ $2.479/gallon and a car wash.

– St. Ives Aroma Steam Body Wash in Almond & Sweet Cream
<valmont32...@aol.com>
Returned a very ~obnoxious~ smelling bottle of Jean Nate cologne that I had
bought on sale at Walgreens...idk what possessed me to buy this when there
were no testers available, but I had always wondered if it would smell good
coz it has such a following!! I think i was allergic to it....I had some
kind of mild reaction to it where I felt a bit nauseated, sneezing attacks,
runny nose, eyes watering, etc after one spritz on my wrist. Thank goodness
for the very generous return policy at Walgreens! I exchanged it and ended
up bringing a couple more items home with me:
*Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse #1 Ivory (the very palest shade) it was
BOGO! for $7.99, not bad to get 2 jars...and I like the coloring of this,
it seems to match my face really, really well coz I am quite pale with
freckles. I really like using MAC Studio Finish liquid foundation, but it
is a bit sheer for my taste. I have always been a "Mousse" fan since that
type of foundation came out originally. You can also re–use the containers
for stuff if you wash them out super well!!
*set of 3 super–skinny headbands in white, navy, and black. I have seen
people wearing these with ponytails that have matching elastic bands, and no
schruchchies. I think it is a very cute look, but I wanted to try it b4 I
bought a whole pack of them so I just got the 3 mini–pack. I want to see
how much they stretch after you wear them for a day or so.
*Clear plastic handled brush and mirror set....the brush is somewhat cheap
and hopefully not too flimsy, but I have misplaced my favorite pink brush
and they did not have anything at all at Walgreens that was a very suitable
replacement....so I will be waiting until I get to Target to get a nwe brush
and use this one that came with the mirror (the mirror alone was worth the
price of the set!) and hopefully the brush will hold up for awhile till I
either #1 find my original brush or #2 get to a store that has a good brush
section to find a good brush to replace the orginal brush.

Over the past couple of days...
A pair of hot pink suede gloves with some cutout detailing around the cuffs
from TJ Maxx for about $10.
AT Nordies Rack at Potomic Mills:
*Crushed velvet shirt in a dusty green by Kisca...This was $24. I bought
the same shirt in plum a few months ago for about 3x the price.
*Teal/Emeralm ribbed shirt with a silvery medallion on the side...saw these
at the store several months ago for 2x the price...I had my eye on it
then...so I bought it now.
Samples of Alpha mineral makeup. I bought two concealers one is called
pearl (slight greenish tinge) to help cover acne, and the other is
milkshake. Great coverage. Right now I am playing around and mixing it
with a Jane Iredale sample to make a good concealer for hyperpigmentation
and zits.

We went to Target last night for the basics (laundry detergent, Advil, etc.)
and my husband trailed off to look at something else. Next thing I know, he
comes running up with a reversible black/blue ski jacket that only cost $10.
I checked for any flaws or defects but it looked okay. If I didn't know the
price I would have guessed he paid at least $60 for it. But, it was funny
to see him all excited and getting a thrill about scoring a coat for $10. I
told him "See, now you know why I like shopping so much!" On the way home,
I let him know that TJ Maxx has deals like that all the time and he
immediately wanted to go there, but it was almost closing time.
Also, I bought 3 pairs of panties at Target (which cost more than his coat!)
and a large canvas picture for the living room wall for $100––It's kind of a
collage with an Asian floral theme.

I had a mall gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket so I
decided to go to the local mall to see if there was anything of

leather sandals in silver, and a cute brushed suede silver wristlet
from Coach. I'd been eyeing the wristlet online for a while (see
below), and I'd been looking at the shoes in the window of the 9West

to be a very good shopping day. It looks like my theme so far for

today i went to a store here in Austin called Second Looks.
there are two here, actually, and i shopped at the north store
several years ago. there's also one in San Antonio.
anyway, i bought two shirts – both LS, one A&F, the other, Eddie
Bauer. both are blue with plaid patterns. i also got a pair of
Ralph Lauren jeans. i didn't get an itemized list, but i do
remember the jeans being $20. everything together was $75. not
bad. i think the last shirt i bought at EB was something like
$40.
also went to the Paul Mitchell supply house here to buy some Dry
Wax for my mohawk. this stuff is amazing! it only takes an
amount the size of a pea to style my hair right up.
then went to Redken and bought my landlady some shampoo (she gave
me money for it) and conditioner. they had special packaging for
the new product launch of Blonde Glam. info from Redken's site:
"helps activate brilliance, clarify color and reinforce strength
for multi–tonal blondes." sounds promising!
then went to a place called Wiggy's that has a wine big
selection. last week at Hyde Park Bar & Grill, i tried a wine
that i really liked. it's a California wine called Stephen
Vincent Crimson. it's a 50/50 blend of Syrah and Cabernet. i
called both Central Markets, went by Whole Foods, and also called
Grapevine Market (boasts over 500 labels), and Austin Wine
Merchants. none of them had it, tho i did buy the Stephen
Vincent Cabernet at Whole Foods on Monday. i also called Wiggy's
on Monday and they spoke with their rep the next day who happened
to have a bottle of the Crimson on hand. they tried the wine,
liked it, and ordered a case. i picked up my bottle today. lots
of fruit, nice finish, and it's only $10.99.
oh, and i got a one–hour, full–body massage today, too.
lovely day off!

Sounds like a fun day. About 12 years ago I worked in downtown Los
Angeles, and there is a certain charm to it. The "Spanish Steps," the
library, the Biltmore... I worked in a hotel where we had to park
about 4 blocks away, and the hotel would insist on someone (a porter
or
valet parking attendant) walking me to my car if I left after dark. I
never had a bit of trouble the whole time I worked there.
The area south of the Biltmore (is it Broadway?) is interesting, too,
with the old classic movie theatres that are now churches and the
hispanic markets. Your jeweler was probably just on the edge of that

I am dangerous when left alone for an entire day. Actually I had the
very best time in downtown Los Angeles yesterday and DH approved of my
purchases. The Westin Bonaventure has all sorts of shops with items at
discounted prices. I think they get a lot of Japanese tour groups
because a lot of the hotel material was printed in both English and
Japanese. I had fun looking at everything and bought two leather cases
to hold cell phone, camera and money/credit cards for $6 each. Yes, the
original price was $35, sale price was $17 but business was slow and the
aggressive elderly salesman sold them to me for $6 each. One is black
and the other is brown.
I took a lovely walk to a wholesale jeweler. Dowtown is clean, green
and there aren't as many pan handlers. Two mayors a go this jeweler was
on a street "owned" by gangs and drug dealers but things have changed.
I wanted to buy the baby a graduation gift. He had a design for a
necklace that could be made into a bracelet. It looks like connected
stylized hearts. The point at the bottom of each heart curves back at
each side to make a circle and that is how they are connected. It is
about an inch thick and 14k gold. She is now wearing more yellow than
white gold or silver. DH told me to purchase earrings. I have never
liked diamond studs. The ones I have our small but the jeweler told me
they are excellent stones. One is flawless and the other has a slight
flaw at the edge. DH bought them for me through USAA Buying Services.
I bought myself a wedding ring with six diamonds and three each will be
used at the top of gold hoop earrings. Each earring's total diamond
weight is approximately 1/2 carat. They are going to be in yellow gold,
my preference for jewelry. They will be gorgeous but not so
ostentatious that I would wear them just for formal occasions.

On a trip to SuperTarget a couple of days ago during a **short** detour
through the cosmetic section after a visit to the restroom (with 2 DS's)
that was CLEAR ACROSS the store from the desired toy section (and
consequently right next to the beauty)! DS1 wanted to make sure we were
headed back to toys straight away and couldn't stop reminding me of that.
Oh, the mothers of boys!
Castelbel Lemon Refreshing Bath Soap $5.99 for a BIG bar 12.34 oz.
The smell is to die for – so far I've only used it on my face and it passed
but I'll try to remark on it later after I use it in the shower.
http://tinyurl.com/rh6lt I couldn't find an exact picture of it even on the
Portugese website but this is close; the paper covering has pretty
hand–drawn lemons on it.
In this line I'm pretty sure I also saw Tomato (smelled like fresh tomato
vines, which are producing their first tomatoes at our house right now!),
and a couple of others. I was bowled over by the Tomato and will probably
go back to purchase it later (it's an hour away) along with a couple of
other small items I saw there.

along with a couple of other small items I saw there.

I have two bars I bought in Portugal. Don't tell my husband; I'd prefer
to return to Portugal to buy the soap than to shop at Target for it.
Actually it is so great to see Target continuing to expand its lines. If
you love lemon, CO Bigelow at B&BW makes a lovely lemon scented body
lotion.

Yesterday – Shanghai Tang held a sample sale downtown, and I thought
oh–what–the–heck. What the heck indeed!
Fell in love (and bought) this jacket: http://tinyurl.com/oa2fh at
half–price, which was still a bit dear for something so impractical (a
jade–studded shearling jacket?) but OH how I love it.
Also picked up several mandarin–collared 'Qi Pao' styled tees in
beautiful jewel tone colors which were great bargains to distract me
from my splurge.

Lucky you. I love that store. It's nice to see you posting again.

At Potomac Mills Outlet: 2 Ann Taylor white button downs. One longsleeved,
the other short. I am happy to report that I am a size down from the fall.
At Nordstrom: There was a shoe sale and I walked in and saw a pair of Joan
and David dark red pumps with contrast stitching immediately. Score! then
I went and bought 2 Wacoal bras...again a size down.

Castelbel Lemon Refreshing Bath Soap $5.99 for a BIG bar 12.34 oz.
The smell is to die for – so far I've only used it on my face and it
passed but I'll try to remark on it later after I use it in the shower.
http://tinyurl.com/rh6lt I couldn't find an exact picture of it even on
the Portugese website but this is close; the paper covering has pretty
hand–drawn lemons on it.

I still love bar soaps although I don't buy them as much anymore as liquid
soap. I think bar soaps can be so much more artisanal but they, much of the
time, will leave my skin feeling 'grabby' for lack of a better word. I
don't know if this is because it strips the skin (I don't think so) or
because it doesn't rinse clean but it must be the formulation because most
liquid soaps rinse off slick. And it seems the more 'organic' the
formulation, the grabbier it makes my skin feel (glycerin is totally out).
I can't even slide the towel over my skin; I have a hard time describing
this sensation. That said, every time I purchase a bar of soap, in the back
of my head I'm thinking will this work? This one does. It has a slight
grab to it but doesn't make my skin feel tight and un–moisturized. It's
pleasant to use and smell as it is not overpowering.
I'm both pleased and sorry that you now know you can get it locally. I
understand the travel bug but am glad it has just gotten easier for you to
obtain! And I do love citrus. I will check it out at BBW. We have one
here.
Target had a few other items that I was interested in but I had a hard time
finding details on most of them as the shelves were quite bare of those. I
mean, I could find a coupleof items in the line but only in lotion or body
scrub, etc. Not necessarily the exact product I would be interested in.
