Hadn't seen this GAP Ad......

"CliffB" <fl...@gosympatico.ca>
Did it ever get airplay? Instead we were punished with umpteen thousand
saturation repeats of those cloying, treacly Sarah Jessica Parker ads.
This one's the Spike Jonze take on GAP:

I'm obviously in the minority here because I thought it was so
annoying. Not funny at all. Just annoying. Still better than the SJP
ads, though!!!!!!!

Quoi? SJP, *cloying*? You have a *problem* with a 40–year–old woman who
wears tutus and coos like a Betsy Wetsy doll?

One would more accurately say it's more Broderick's problem. *shudders*

Me too, and I kept wondering "This is supposed to make me buy your
khakis why exactly?" Answer came there none.
There were two versions of the ad, and you can watch them here:

The music in Spike's original version makes it a bit more, I dunno,
Dionysian.

I agree –– I would vote for Peer Gynt.
Interesting, too, that there are palm trees at 59th and Lexington!
Guess it was easier for 'em to just mosey on down to the Beverly Center.

well, the point of the spot is not "buy our khakis." the point
is that a new Gap store is coming and that they're remodeling.

The Beverly Center Gap is closed.
