ladies a warning about mascara and Ebay

I never learn. I have a penchant for bronze/golden/auburn mascara. I
always seem to miss the boat when it comes to limited edition mascara.
I look and always find it on Ebay. Twice now I bought what I thought
was a brand new mascara (because the seller stated so) and ended up
with terrible eye infections.
I have also have received mascara that smells funny, is dried out and
totally crusted around the rim.
Two things I am going to change is buy a limited edition ASAP. The
second is if I do buy from Ebay again, I will ask the seller if the
item is a "tester" and is the item or box sealed.

Drugstore mascaras are so good that I can't see why you would buy any
mascara from Ebay. Forget limited editions if you can't buy them
directly from a web site or store. Your eyes are so important. My only
makeup allergy from a cosmetic was from an Almay eye product. Since then
I will never use any Almay mascaras or liners. There is so much else
available.

I use Loreal mascara as my everyday mascara. For some reason I can't
wear anything from Maybelline or Revlon (they sting my eyes). I also
use 2000 calorie mascara in Dark Auburn by Max Factor.
My favorite mascara is from Chanel. I really do not mind spending $20
a pop. Occasionally they will come out with new colors, like bronze (my
favorite) and Garnet.
I love the colors from "Just for redheads". I wear the Ginger Brown,
Henna and Spice colors.
Bourjois Paris use to make a bronze mascara that I liked.
I am going to refrain from buying mascara on Ebay. I bought a Clinique
in Bronze that is beautiful but did a job on my eyes. When Chanel
stopped making bronze I was buying on Ebay until I bought one that gave
me pink eye.
