Secret Santa Comes to On–Strike NYC!

Yay! Today was the absolutely BEST day for Secret Santa to arrive from
Scandinavia! Thank you, Anne in Sweden, for knowing that today would
be the first day of what could become a protracted public transit
strike in NYC––and it was a very hectic and disorienting day, indeed.
What a good day for a bag of treats to arrive!
Here's what came, wrapped in various papers (red & pink kitties, blue
and silver stars, red ribbon): a gorgeous set of shimmery eye shadows
in shades of white, medium
grey, gold, bronze and pinky copper; pale shimmery nail polish in Softy
Pink; a fabulous plum glitter eye pencil; a cherry colored lip gloss
which promises that it "protects" and is "caring"; and a deep cleansing
strawberry face mask. Plus food! A box of chocolate–covered
strawberries and a little packet labeled "Anne's Food" with a note
describing what's inside: "Swedish 'knack'––cream almond toffee"!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Swedish Santa! And thanks so much to
Jennifer for being our fairy godmother (or is that Mrs. Claus??).

Phew, thank goodness it arrived in time! :) I was extremely late in mailing,
but it's nice to hear that sometimes the post office does come through. Hope
the strike doesn't go on for long though – could they have picked a more
annoying time??
