Okay, thanks for the tip!! I had never considered really what the
consequences of hooking up the cable modem directly to the Ethernet card
could do...if we are on the same page here, I guess I am doing something
wrong.
No, not wrong, just not usually a good idea. It's not the end of the
world though. :)
I don't have a router because Charter does not supply the router, it
just rents you the cable modem.
Sometimes ISP's offer a router as part of the package which is nice of
them.
I'm not sure how to install or what to even
do with a router. I guess I could ask someone at Best Buy (that's our
closest to a "computer parts store" here in the town I'm staying in, in
Minnesota).
Best Buy often has Geek Squad franchises in them, and they could set
up one for you....for a price. You could try to get a geeky friend or
relative to do it. Or contact some independent "hire a geek" place.
It's not that hard to do it yourself, if the documentation is good. It
is usually but it's almost always in PDF form rather than a proper
paper manual. The Quick Start guides are sometimes enough though.
You're very sweet, I really did not think anyone would bother reading my
post, much less to the bottom. :)

I'm not sure what Viva Glam IV looked like...but I just remembered that Viva
Glam 5 looks like that one me!! It is about the only "real" traditional
lipstick I will wear ever. I don't usually pay much attention to the
Viva's, since a couple of them were quite "bright" and one of them was a
pallid pink, but I really, really adore Viva Glam 5. I mean, I only own
about 3 or 4 lipcolors anyways...MAC Lust Lipglass, MAC Longwearing Lipcolor
in Payoff, MAC Viva Glam 5, and then a lipcolor that my AF SS got for me...
Only 4 or 5? Wow.
Thanks for reading my post and advering potential hackers!! :)

Makeup, it takes believing in. Like a magic carpet, it's belief that
makes it fly. Otherwise, it's just a rug.
If you believe in it, makeup has a magic all it's own.
Of course, makeup is only dimestore magic. But it works well enough,
