Low budget fashion ???

"Gerard Mindstep" <piano_ne...@yahoo.fr>
I'm a beggar and I earn only a few bucks a day. But I'm fed up with
wearing old rags.
So how can I buy fashion for a few bucks ?

I wouldn't mind some ideas here, either. I am on a limited budget, and
am trying to find some affordable, classic clothes. I buy on eBay
sometime, Goodwill and Salvation Army. Does anyone here have any other
ideas for saving money on clothes? Cindy :)

Garage sales, consignment shops, Target, Old Navy, and outlets.
Around here we like to hit the garage sales in the multimillion
neighborhoods. Lots of x–ray types with good taste practically giving
away luxury designer clothes they no longer want.
I also have a few favorite consignment shops. You have to be persistent
and keep an open mind, because you never know what you're going to
find. And if the consignment shop smells bad (like body odor), skip it.
For example this year I got my Coach bag there, and I bought my bf a
gorgeous, stunning designer dress for pennies for her bday.
Target is also a great place to look. I always find something there.
And Old Navy often has good basic pieces (like fleece pants – love
them!) as well as the occasional cool trendy item for peanuts.
As for outlets, we live near a Gap outlet which is so great... you have
to dig because the place is a mess, and inspect each item carefully for
flaws, but I never leave empty–handed. Also as a plus, they seem to
have proportionately higher amount of clothes in the smaller and larger
end of the range, than the regular stores do.
There's also a BR outlet in driving distance, though I caution with
that one because I think BR makes outlet–quality clothing specifically
for the outlets. The quaility seems cheaper, colors can be a little
off, and you never see what's actually in the stores in this season or
even last season. Hmmm....
