Is there a sheered down red (perhaps with a touch of brown to it,
nothing too bluey or orange) in these lipsticks? I do really like the

Ok, I was playing hooky from work today (went to an office lunch party
and instead of going back home to work, I hit the mall. HA, so there!)
Anyway, I was at the Clinique counter and I told the SA that I wanted
Butter Shine and she pulled out all the testers from the display and
there were only 6 or so. I couldn't find quite what I was looking for
and she told me that they are coming out with more colors early next
year. I didn't see anything in a sheer red, but I wasn't looking for
that. More pink, plum, and berry colors, with a couple of coraly
shades.
I also have to say that this SA was great! I've never really asked for
advice, since I usually know what looks good on me and the SAs I've
run into never seem to have a real opinion. I told the SA that I've
always struggled with blush colorsI've tried many colors and they all
look OK, but none have made me say "That's it!" She said she was going
to pick a color that I have probably never chosen and she was right.
Then she applied it for me and we picked out a lipstick that, again, I
wouldn't have even looked at. She explained why she chose those colors
and then picked out a foundation for me on the first try that was such
a perfect match that I couldn't tell exactly where she had applied it
on my jaw.
I still wasn't convinced about the lipstick, but she didn't back down.
Not that she was pushy, but she could have chosen another color that
was more in my comfort zone. She said she was sure it was a great
color for me and showed me ways to use other lipcolors I have to ease
my way into it. Then she said to bring it back in 30 days if I really
didn't like it. She gave me her card and a nice pink suede minitote
(leftover from a promotion, I think) and some samples and I skipped
all the way home!
It was an amazing experience.
