Sheer red––Butter shines?

Is there a sheered down red (perhaps with a touch of brown to it,
nothing too bluey or orange) in these lipsticks? I do really like the
texture and am always searching for a soft red that looks natural on
but gives a subtle "kick", if you know what i mean...

run into never seem to have a real opinion. I told the SA that I've
always struggled with blush colors–I've tried many colors and they all
look OK, but none have made me say "That's it!" She said she was going
to pick a color that I have probably never chosen and she was right.
Then she applied it for me and we picked out a lipstick that, again, I
wouldn't have even looked at. She explained why she chose those colors
and then picked out a foundation for me on the first try that was such
a perfect match that I couldn't tell exactly where she had applied it
on my jaw.
I still wasn't convinced about the lipstick, but she didn't back down.
Not that she was pushy, but she could have chosen another color that
was more in my comfort zone. She said she was sure it was a great
color for me and showed me ways to use other lipcolors I have to ease
my way into it. Then she said to bring it back in 30 days if I really
didn't like it. She gave me her card and a nice pink suede mini–tote
(leftover from a promotion, I think) and some samples and I skipped
all the way home!
It was an amazing experience.

Apple Brandy and Cranberry Cream are both sheer reds. The Apple
Brandy is slightly browner or less obviously bright red, but both are
quite soft and wearable. However, I have found that the Cranberry
Cream smells a little off, although the other shades do not have any
noticeable scent to them. This is after sniffing at several tubes of
Cranberry Cream from different retailers, so I am not sure whether
this is just a bad batch or a more pervasive problem with the shade.

It's been a week now, and though I'm still not totally sold on the
lipcolor, Surprise, I love everything else.
