Banana Republic missing item resolved

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
I gave them 48 hours and did not hear from BR so I called again and the
lady I spoke to took off the charge for the dress plus appropriate tax
from my bill. It will show up as a $170.60 credit to my account. I did
not want her to send me a new item because I don't even think it would
get here for New Year's Eve. Wish me luck finding a LBD in San
Francisco this weekend. It's no big deal because I have lots of nice
separates.

Does it have to be a *B* LD, Audrey? I know black is always the new black,
but color is good, too. Good luck finding the perfect LD!

Good question, B as in (midnight) blue or as in (rich chocolate) brown?
Either in just the right shade, style, fabric could be beautiful and
unexpected.
My 2 cents,

Remember I own no dresses at all. I have gorgeous dark brown and blue
outfits. I haven't even worn last year's Ellen Tracy brown skirt, top
and coordinating long sweater. I have a pretty navy Oscar outfit I wear
in the spring. I've always worn color and have recently become my
mother to begin wearing black more often.

Very unfortunate you did not receive the dress but at least they resolved it
for you. Whoever said it sounded as if they thought you were trying to pull
a scam (all too common during the holidays I guess) seems to have been
correct. A scammer would have probably given up after the first try so by
trying again they must have fingered you as real customer.
It will be fun to shop for a dress in person and at least you'll be more
certain of the fit. I have the same short–waisted dress problem.
