What are *you* wearing today?

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
56 dense night and morning fog During the day I worked on bills, cards
and other things at home. I ran a few errands and went to my last day of
work for this year. This evening we are going to another holiday open
house.

black Uggs (I live in these once the foggy season starts)
red Ellen Tracy double faced wool jacket
small Cole Haan hobo bag
red garnet earrings, gold watch and bracelet
Evening
black Oscar wool turtleneck with Asian inspired embroidery and beads
black Dana Buchman wool slacks
gold hoops, watch and bracelet
same red wool jacket

I'll join in for the first time because I'm still at work and not in my
PJs as I usually am when reading AF. I'm wearing my new this year brown
suede knee high with flowers on top Camper boots. With socks, no
tights, and I'm freezing when outside. It's about 15 degrees here
today. A calf length gray wool Eileen Fisher skirt. Brown long sleeved
Michael Stars tee shirt with a slightly lighter shade of brown wool
cardigan. I just took if off to check the designer...Murielle...it's
very lacy and funky with a five inch slit on each cuff that flaps
around. My only jewelry is my everyday watch...Enigma stainless and
gold with a pink mother of pearl face. And M. Negrin crystal drop
earrings with green and purple stones.

Oops...I'm not used to this and forgot the outerwear until I put my
coat on to go home. It's faux black Persian lamb from Monika Turtle. My
scarf is velvet with roses on a black background. My gloves are rose
suede. My bag is a no name I got about 13 years ago in Barcelona that I
love. It's a large drawstring shoulder bag, half black leather and half
brown suede with green stitching and embroidered flowers on top. It's
still freezing here with another storm coming tomorrow.
Sandra in PA
"Stevie" <stevie.wil...@gmail.com>
black ag jeans
frye campus boots
an orange tissue racer back tee
violet ribbed henley over that and
a cashmere Raw Seven bleeding heart hoodie in black over that

Sandra, I'm glad you joined the thread.
It will be 54 degrees here today with the usual fog though it isn't as
bad here as it was earlier in the week. I have a nail appointment, then
WW. I am going to rush like crazy to put wrapping paper on the girls'
gifts. One comes home this afternoon, and the other arrives tomorrow.
I also have to put aside the birthday gifts. In the early evening I'll
go to the open house for a new spa where I get my pedicures, spend a bit
of time and grab food at a local assemblyman's party and then join the
knitters at the knitting class. Our class fees are going to be donated
to the local women's shelter so it will be a knitting party for us. My
daughter will come with me to these evening functions. DH has a
business dinner
charcoal stretch slacks
heavy black tunic sweater with big collar
onyx and garnet earrings, red and black leather and gold bangle
bracelets and gold watch
black Uggs
small black hobo bag
red Ellen Tracy double faced wool jacket
Audrey
still waiting to hear from BR I will call this afternoon and then call
the credit card company.

Smokey, thank you very much! It sounds incredibly sappy, and therefore
maybe not at all like me!, but he is the best present I could get.
Everything else is just icing on the cake. He gives me so much
throughout the year (like 2 weeks in Florida earlier this year with a
repeat scheduled for next year) and he is such a great person that I
honestly would have been happy without any gifts at all. <sappy happy
sigh>
For the office, including a nice holiday lunch by one of my vendors
(gotta love the week before Christmas––long delicious lunches are the
norm!):
charcoal worsted wool skirt (long, straight cut, slit in back)
black cotton v–neck top (v–neck front and back) with a knot tied at the
bottom of the front v
black pumps
vintage, very large, 3 layered silvertone snowflake pin with
rhinestones and detailed metal work in the shape of buds and leaves and
branches below
antique diamond earrings––solitaires in a square white gold filigree
setting
antique sapphire and diamond dinner ring
new emerald and diamond ring
silver filigree link watch set with blue crystals, tiny square MOP face
for outside: black wool motorcycle jacket, faux fur collar and cuffs;
sapphire panne velvet muffler; black velvet gloves
"jjjjjuliep" <jjjjju...@aol.com>
Sunny and in the 30s. Finally, last night, I got caught up for
Christmas: all the presents are bought and wrapped, and The Engineer
and I even exchanged our own gifts on Saturday night b/c his travel
schedule for work and our travel plans for Christmas (up to CT to be
with my family) meant that was the only time before Christmas––and who
wants to wait for Christmas presents. ;–) My a.f–related stuff
included a robe and a cushy warm pair of slippers for the house in the
mountains, a very nice grey ribbed, zip front, cotton cardigan, and a
new diamond and emerald ring (described below). (The non–a.f stuff
included a cell phone and service (I have resisted a cell phone for
years now, but he really wanted me to have one so he took care of the
phone and the service) and a portable XM radio set (very very
cool––this works at home, as a portable radio, in the car, and also you
can download up to 5 hours of stuff from the satellite and then play it
later) and a couple of other things (books, DVDs, etc.). Truly amazing
and wonderful gifts. I am very lucky to receive those on top of his
wonderful personality and character.) For the office:
long black straight cut skirt, black walking slit
chartreuse v–neck shirt
black mid–heel Mary Janes
square diamond earrings in a filigree white gold setting
diamond heart necklace (round cut diamonds, raised yellow gold setting)
my maternal grandmother's diamond and sapphire dinner ring (two small
diamonds, square cut, set in a rectangular white gold filigree setting,
with 6 smaller sapphires (1 in each corner, and on in the center of
the rectangle on each side))
my new ring: a triangle cut emerald on a yellow gold band that is
split into 2 pieces which criss–cross each other in a kind of sideways
'X'. The stone is set off center and below the middle of the x, and
top half of one band is set with small princess cut emeralds in a
channel setting, and the bottom half of that band is set with round cut
diamonds in the same channel setting. It's much more delicate than it
sounds. And yes, I know that it's vulgar enough to wear colored stones
and diamonds during the day, let alone mix colors, but I don't care.
;–)
silver filigree link watch set with blue crystals, tiny square MOP face
for outside: black 3/4 length all weather coat, single breasted, faux
fur collar; Burberry house plaid cashmere muffler; cold hands b/c I
left my gloves at the house in the mountains
p.s. since I lost my address book and only found it today, I'm not
counting the fact my Christmas cards are not yet sent as hindering my
checking of the "Christmas prep complete" box

HAPPY DAY FOR THE HEIRS OF HARVEY FIRESTONE, YOUR ANCESTOR WHO MADE
ALL THE MONEY WAS BORN TODAY: Woke up about 5:30. Skipped checking
the E–mail, but I checked the "such." ("Such" = On–line account
status.) Spent the day at work sorting through stuff that mostly
needed to be discarded. Snail mail was waiting when I got home, I
didn't get much. Going to feed myself. For the day post–shower:

Skipped checking everything and went to work. Spent the day at work

brainstorming about the next one. Did some chores when I got home.
Probably going to feed myself. For the day post–shower:
