Thanks to all my AF pals for your nice birthday wishes. :D
I did shop a lot, but unfortunately, not really for myself. I needed to
get concert clothes for my son and ended up buying a ton of stuff at
Lord & Taylor––much of it marked down, with an extra 15% for opening an
L&T credit card. I got a pretty red wool Rothschild coat for my daughter
and a ton of other clothes for them. So that was good. But I was in such
a rush that I didn't really scoop up much for me––just a gorgeous huge
nutcracker (at over half off!) and a bag of Aromatique evergreen potpourri.
But really, the day was all about Brownies and the orchestra concert,
etc. Where were the muscular loin–cloth–sporting slaves carrying silver
salvers of champagne and caviar??? Nowhere in evidence, that's where.
I did get two beautiful bouquets and a gold charm bracelet, though.
