Question about Levi jeans

I have had a weird experience....twice now. Bought 2 pairs of Levi 515
jeans. I wore both pairs a few times before I washed them. They fit
absolutely fantastic. I was so happy to finally find some jeans I liked.
Washed them the way I usually do jeans, in cold water and let them air dry.
Now both pairs of jeans are significantly larger on me. It seems like they
have stretched out. I looked in the label and they are made with 99% cotton
and 1% polyurethane and the care instructions say to wash in cold water,
which I did.
Has anyone ever had this happen with Levi jeans? These are my first two
pairs of Levi's so I didn't know if this was common. It's really strange.
And no, I have not lost any weight. I am really bummed cause I thought I had
found some nice jeans.

try turning them inside out ––wash them on hot, dry on hot. they will
