What products help eliminate dark under eye patches?

This is my friend's problem, not mine, so I haven't paid attention to
posts on this topic. Please don't ask me to google :) Anyway
yesterday's WSJ had an article about herbal remedies by Chanel and two
other companies. My friend's dark spots are due to heredity. Her
mother has them as do several others on her mother's side. She doesn't
wear concealer or foundation so it looks like she is recovering from
black eyes. I am working on the makeup part but are there some new skin
products that would help?

I have no idea. I have never found a permanent solution. I will say that
a good soothing moisturizing cream seems to help. Keeping the area hydrated
minimizes the appearance of dark circles. I have come to terms with my
hereditary circles and just go with the dissipated look. If you find a
solution, let me know. I will buy the stuff by the vat. I would suggest:
Chantecaille's Flower Harmonizing Cream (can be used around the eyes)
Creme de la Mer – I think this one has exotic malachite chips that reflect
light.
Any other good moisturizer and a great concealer!

This is an interesting question. I have discussed the problem with
several friends who have dark circles, and a couple of them reported
experiencing a huge sense of liberation when they finally decided to
embrace their natural look and chuck those useless concealers once and
for all!
