ISO upscale girls' clothing

"TV" <scorpi...@aol.com>
I once saw a catalog that had such beautiful stuff it would make you
scream (as a parent). Don't remember the name. The Children's Place
isn't going to cut it. I want something really special for a 3–4 year
old.
Thanks

Hanna Andersson?
HA is great for everyday playclothes and some special occasion stuff. Huge
fan here.
To the OP, can you be more specific on what it is that you are looking for?
There are *tons* of upscale clothing lines for children. Are you looking for
special occasion clothing, playclothes, etc? Are you thinking of the Wooden
Soldier catalog?

Petit Patapon (www.petitpatapon.com) as well as Catimini
(www.catimini.com) are favorites of mine – I wouldn't call these
"upscale", but they are surelly not mainstream kids clothing lines. The
clothes are nicely made, they wear well, the styles are cute and
original and each carries both fun, casual items and slightly more
formal, classic styles.

I'm a mother of a 2 year old girl and this is the line that makes me
alternate between drooling and screaming:
http://www.jacadiusa.com/
They also have B & M stores in various malls and a catalog. May be the
one you are thinking of?
The other line that does this to me is Oilily, especially for kids'
shoes:

Petit Patapon (www.petitpatapon.com)
We used to have a petitpatapon in our mall. I liked the clothes very much
but always waited for clearance. Got some great deals.

That website has to be the most irritating one I've ever visited. I
couldn't figure out how to just see the clothes!

I agree on both Oilily and Jacadi.
Also, Chocolat et Tartine, there are a few around the US in very
upscale malls, not sure about a web site.
Some others that I like for my son, but have girls lines, too are Petit
Bateau (the BEST pajamas, BTW), Tea, Deux Par Deux and Zutano. Zutano
is really for play clothes and leisure wear, but very nicely made and
durable, lots of fleece and jersey knits.

I forgot about Tartine et Chocolat, they may still have a store at
Tyson's, VA. They have a site, but in French only. Beautiful clothes
for little ones.
Also April Cornell has cute dressy clothes for girls from toddler on
up.

Bonpoint is my favourite. They have a store here in Boston, possibly
elsewhere in the US too. They sell Start Rite shoes as well, which are
a real classic (the English Royal Family uses them for their kids).

Oilily makes stuff for adults, too. This is particularly good for a
mommy who is envious of the stuff kids can, but won't wear. ;^)
