Stila palette advice

"Smokey" <SmokeyinNewEngl...@yahooey.com>
I keep looking from the rose moon to the golden moon palette and trying to
decide which I will get..but I just don't know. The colors all look nice.
How would you decide? Please don't say anything about warm vs. cool because
I don't know which I am and have never been able to figure it out from the
descriptions I've read...
If it helps, I have brown hair with natural highlights tending to the gold,
brown eyes, and light skin with a tendency to rosacea related redness.
TIA,
Smokey

You could probably use either one. I chose golden moon because the
colors are similar to ones I like to use. I'm not as experimental as I
used to be and find myself using the same products all the time.

I have the same hair as you, hazel eyes, and am very pale with strong
red undertones and the golden moon palette is beautiful on me.

Thanks! I was leaning toward that one and you've clinched it.

I've been trying to decide on one of these as well. I've usually
considered myself a "cool", because I have blue eyes, fair skin that's
kind of olive–y and medium brown hair with highlights. I look sick if
I wear yellow but look OK in blues and reds. Does that make me a
"cool"? If so, will the peachy tones of the golden moon look bad on
me? (That's the one I think I like).

Ask yourself honestly do you wear peach, gold and brown shadows, blush
etc.? If the answer is yes, then you'll love golden moon. I think both
palettes are quite pretty. My youngest child has fair skin, hazel eyes
and dark brown hair but I know she would not choose golden moon.
Instead I bought her the Dior lucky palette, which has colors that she
tends to wear.

Chiming in w/Audrey. I have the Golden Moon palette and all the e/s
colors are very decidely on the warm brown & gold side. The Rose Moon
palette was simply too too pink for me. The l/s & l/g in both palettes
are quite sheer, so it'll be the e/s colors that would be the deciding
factor.
Instead of the pink Rose Moon palette I went for the plummy Iced Plum
4–pan (3 e/s, 1 blush) in the winter collection. You might want to
take a look at that also.

Honestly....I don't wear peach at all, no. :( My favorite blush is
currently a creme blush by Revlon called "Rosy Glow", which is kind of
a soft brownish/rose color.
Sigh.

Thanks, Celia! I did look at that on Sephora's site and those *are*
the types of colors that I prefer. I'll put that on my list of things
to consider!
