My first Boden order arrives

I finally ordered from Boden, though I have been admiring the clothes
for some time, I got a pair of loose fitting cords in a seafoam blue
color, and two cotton knit tops with velvet embellishment. One is
eggplant v–neck, with eggplant velvet trim around the color, and down
the front placket (it is a cardigan). The other is brown with pink
velvet trim around the color, and pink, green and yellow velvet trim on
the cuffs.
Very cute, and good quality and fot. The sizing runs true to a little
big.

Boden has been hit or miss in my experience. The skirts run big for
me, the tops run small. I ordered a UK size 14 jacket (I wear an 8 US
size), and it was tiny. Ditto for any of the shirts I've ordered.
Lately, though, the quality has sucked. I just ordered a brown velvet
blazer I had to wait 3 months for, and it looks like it was made in a
dark basement. The seams are twisted, the sleeves aren't level, the
lining is loose and hangs down. yuck. I do love their free returns
policy.

Thanks for the review. I've been looking at some of their stuff also. I do
buy mini boden for my son and I really love it. So does ds. Well made, nice
colors, fun t–shirts, etc.

A lot of things do seem to be backordered fairly often, that is part of
the reason this is the first time I ordered.
The latest catalog had a note about an "improved fit", so maybe things
are better now.
I also wear a US size 8, bought the pants in 12, and tops in 14 because
I am broad shouldered.
