Train Case?

sjl...@hotmail.com
With the impending arrival of our first baby, my makeup is going to
have to go from sprawled all over a table in our "spare" room to being
nicely organized. I may not have time to use it after she gets here
but I'd like to get it all in one place!
Any suggestions for where to buy a good sized train case? I don't know
whether to classify my makeup stash as extreme or very extreme so
here's some idea of what I need to store:
1 bottle foundation
1 face powder
7 blush
10 eyeshadows
10 chanel eye quads
7 mixed use palettes
25 lipsticks
20 lip glosses
Of course, I could use this as an opportunity to pare back but the
above should give you an idea of the size I might need. I can actually
picture throwing it all in a toolbox but thought a train case might be
a tad nicer.
Thanks, Sara

Congrats on the new arrival. I suggest you look at Sephora. I bought a
larger than train case size makeup box from them several years ago and
it is still in perfect condition.

I just bought the pink case from Sephora and am amazed at how
much it holds.

Sephora is the only place I've seen large enough cases worthy of being
owned by an AFer. :–) That is, if you're willing to spend $90

They're a little plain though, they lack a certain, je ne sais quoi.
They need some pink or rhinestones or something. I'd be tempted to
decoupage them.
You might also want to look at the fishing tackle box tool box
selections at your local mass discounter. You might find something
that would work even if it needed a makeover of it's own.

What is this, "pare back"? :–)

Makeup, it takes believing in. Like a magic carpet, it's belief that
makes it fly. Otherwise, it's just a rug.
If you believe in it, makeup has a magic all it's own.
Of course, makeup is only dime–store magic. But it works well enough,

Thanks everyone. I ended up buying the Midnight Train Case from
Sephora. With the FF2005, it felt a "bit" more reasonable (plus free
shipping and all).
Midnight Train Case from Sephora $90
Getting a dozen Chanel Quads off the middle of the table Priceless

I see that the OP reports that she went with a Sephora train case, but I wanted
to second the nomination of the fishing tackle box, for future reference. They
combine amazing capacity and organization with modest price.
