What are you wearing today?

"cofarb" <do...@cofarb.com>
(I couldn't find the existing thread.)
Cold and snowy this morning...
Reddish–maroon turtleneck bodysuit;
Sweater hoodie in "Ugg pink" with narrow stripes in the same color as the
bodysuit;
Chocolate brown short suede wrap skirt (ebay);
Dark brown tights;
Pink Simple tall faux Uggs (Yes, I know they are "so over" but fashion is
pretty slow to reach the tundra.);
Black lamb leather knee–length coat;
Black chenille gloves.

Simple faux Uggs are less faux Uggs than any other faux Ugg.
They most likely have the same sourcing, given that both Simple and
Ugg are Deckers Outdoor Corporation (NASDAQ: DECK) brands.
Down from 47.25 at the beginning of the year to 18.83 now. (And I was
grumping about NKE a few days ago.)

My fashion investments are more tangible than stock. A friend asked me if I
was worried about the light pink boots getting shmutzy in the slush. I
pointed out that clothes should be worn and enjoyed––and I would hardly want
to wear shearling boots in *nice* weather. (Besides, I'd put at least 5
coats of silicone spray on them, and I got them for less than $20.)

Red wolford bodysuit and matching tights <outlet store>;
Black BR pleated barely above–the–knee wool "kilt" skirt (it looked so long
last year but now it looks just right) <ebay>;
Black cropped cardigan <H&M>;
Black knee–high Kenneth Cole leather boots <ebay>;
Vintage double–breasted Italian wool coat (all wool but feels like "double
knit")––black with red trim and funky red buttons; this somehow manages to
look vintage and very contemporary at the same time, and the slightly
stretchy quality makes it very comfortable to wear while driving; the coat
is one of the most unusual pieces of clothing I have <ebay, of course>;
Black chenille gloves <probably Marshall's>;
Black Chapelier backpack purse <ebay>.

TUESDAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING: Woke up for a bit at 5:00, back to sleep,
up for good at 7:30. Off to work. Had a day with a number of questions
and interruptions, did get some stuff done. Came home, grabbed the
mail (mainly junk), decided to feed myself. For the day:
Blue polo shirt
Blue denim chinos
Nike Air Presto Gym sneakers (blue/black)
http://sneakers.pair.com/l/pgym–60.jpg
Ruzinthra the Ruki <ruzint...@ruki.com>
black cotton slacks from JC Penney
pink, vertically–striped LS shirt from Express Men, cuffs rolled
up.
and my new Cole Haans from Nordies.
interesting tidbit: the shoes cost more than the rest of my
outfit. :|

I work in women's specialty store retail: Charcoal/beige/ivory tweed
pants. Ivory v–neck sweater with beige banding at neckline & sleeves.
Simple silver handcrafted necklace. Silver beads and leather band
bracelet. And here's the most important part: soft black leather
EasySpirit Comfort2 slipons, which I'm conflicted about because they
look like men's shoes but they're blessedly comfortable and I can't
perform well without comfy feet!
Outerwear (very rainy today): Burberry green trenchcoat with Russian
red floral print woolen babushka.

somebody is buying it or else they wouldnt be sell them.
almost most things are made in china today at wal marts, targets,
kmarts, walgreens and even those fashions in those department stores.
dont think sam walton is a "chink" because he sold things from china
when he took over an old ben franklin store by buying directly from the
manufacturers.

THANKSGIVING EVE: Woke up for a bit at 5:00, back to sleep, up for
good at 7:30. Off to work. Had a day with fewer questions and
interruptions than yesterday; spent the day researching a "cannot
duplicate" problem (and how I exercised the function in question in
case the person involved wanted to know). I've decided to feed myself
the other half of the chicken I opened yesterday, but that'll happen
shortly. For the day:
Del sol polo shirt
Blue denim chinos
Nike Air Pegasus 2000 iD sneakers (black/del sol/gray)
http://sneakers.pair.com/l/pegasus0.jpg
Nadya <na...@spam.net>
A day of meetings except one two hour one got cancelled – yea! I
dressed for comfort, knowing I'd be in conference rooms all day ...
Columbia faux–convertible cargo pants (i.e. they have a seam at the knee
but don't really turn into shorts. These are fun – high waisted, and
boot cut.)
Lauren mult–width striped tank in various earthy colors
Merona brown no button round–front cardigan (a Target score a few months
back)
Brown Zip–up oxfords
Marjorie Baer coppery brooch & earrings
gold–filled bracelet with green stones
Normal jewelry
Managed to get out of work before 4, get home and make cranberry sauce
and pie for tomorrow!
Happy Thanksgiving the US folks!

There are five meanings... only one is a perjorative.
It can also be a metallic sound (a "chinking" sound) or the holes in a
log cabin, among other things.
