Rave: Clinique Butter Shine Lipstick

"Smokey" <SmokeyinNewEngl...@yahooey.com>
I got this in my (properly priced with lovely products and a pretty ice blue
bag) Sephora order yesterday. Color: First Love. I love this lipstick. It
is so smooth and, well, buttery to put on. The color is not strong and on
me, First Love is MLBB and shinier. Since Sephora is out of them all, I
think I'll mosey over to gloss.com to order some more colors.

I wore rum kiss yesterday and I also have the pink toffee (may not be
the exact name but close).

What does LE mean?
I assume it means limited edition. If that's the question, I doubt
the Butter Shine lipsticks will be LE because they have been wildly
popular. They were completely sold out of them in all colors at about
6 different Macy's and Nordstrom Clinique counters that I went to at
the beginning of the month. They are just now getting them back in
stock and hopefully Sephora will have them again soon, too. They are
also available from Clinique.com with free shipping for the holidays.
I really like the texture of these and managed to get several before
they sold out locally. My favorite colors are Perfect Plum, Apple
Brandy, Pink Toffee, and Crushed Grape. They run from very sheer to
creamy with more pigment. Some of the colors have a bit of shimmer as
well. The really nice thing about them is the gel formula which feels
like a soft buttery lip balm when you apply it, without being too
gloppy or greasy.

I agree! The Butter Shines are really terrific and not only look good, but
feel nice on the lips. I was disappointed that Sephora had all of the
colors out of stock when I tried to order them. Will probably head to
Neiman's this weekend to pick a few of them up. I received a deluxe sample
from Clinique during their last GWP and was really happy with the colors.

I'm really glad you like them. People need to remember that this is one
of the best things about alt.fashion, sharing great finds. Jennifer's
briefcase post sparked a run to Tuesday Morning. The Clinique butter
shines are priced affordably and available at losts of stores and sites.

I was at a Lord & Taylor today and they were taking pre–orders for a
Clinique GWP that begins in early December. (If you Google for Clinique
Gift with Purchase you'll eventually get to a site where you can find
locations and dates for "promotions". It lists GWPs.)

I love these too, and swapped for a little sampler with Pink Goddess, Apple
Brandy, Delovely and Perfect Plum. I fell in love with the first two, they
suited me perfectly. Went to the store and.. guess what, those colors aren't
released in the Nordic countries. We only got 8 of the 14, and none of the
ones I wanted, of course. Didn't really like any of the other colors.
But, the good news is that my friend just got back from a conference in
Washington DC; and she brought me back Pink Goddess! So at least I get that
one :)

I have Berry Blush and love it. It's a subtle color that brightens up
my face. I love the way this lipstick feels on, but it has only
average staying power (better than gloss).

The Clinique site will also tell you – they call it a "Bonus"

Just like a normal lipstick. They're not meant to last 8 hours, but, on
the other hand, they are not drying and don't fade quickly.
