What are *you* wearing today?

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
72 degrees It is simply gorgeous fall weather. The house is freshly
painted, bushes are pruned all flowers are planted, bulbs go in this
weekend. I need to take some photos. In the front corner there are
rose bushes and 17 flats of flowers. Anyway I went to pick up my glasses
and they weren't in yet. Why couldn't they call me? I have to work at
the thrift store and then tutor so I suggested they call my cell phone
when the glasses are in and then I'll figure out when I can get them
white on white long sleeve RL shirt
black Tahari pinwale cords
black argyle socks
black and white Taryn Rose maryjanes
big silver Swatch, pearl studs from Majorca
black Cole Haan handbag with tan stitching

HAPPY STATEHOOD TO OKLAHOMA: It's 57 and the sun is in full isolation
mode. As AHMWARD wrote, it is simply gorgeous fall weather, but I can
think of more than enough stuff to do inside. Up a bit before 7:00.
Tossed two stuffed trash bags (mostly "out sick" junk mail although
some file folders got examined, shredded, and/or tossed). Called Mom,
snow yesterday all melted. Went over for tortilla soup, chicken and
spinach enchiladas. Doing various upstairs chores with Darlene
Zschech* in the background. For a payday eve where I'm at home on a
medical leave, not wanting to do anything TOO expensive (OK, I'll go
out and eat slowly) until the leave–perturbed incoming cash flow gets
synchronized with the outgoing cash flow:
Dark red T–shirt
Dark gray sweat pants
Nike Air Trainer Escape sneakers (red/black/white)

* – Is the spell–checker trying to tell me something? It just
suggested changing "Darlene Zschech" to "Darlene Screech." Soundex ran
amuck (for those who have never heard it pronounced, her last name is
rendered as "check") or really rude spell check? <grin/duck>

RICHARD NIXON DECLARES 'I AM NOT A CROOK!' TODAY: It's 57 and the sun
is in full insolation, trying to heat up cold native Texans and
semi–cold people from more northerly climes. Up a bit before 8:00. Had
breakfast, called Mom. Did some stuff around the apartment. Went over
for tortilla soup and beef fajitas. Out to the doctor momentarily,
followed by grocery shopping. For the day:
Dark green T–shirt
Blue denim chinos
Nike Air Huarache sneakers (blue/green/white/black)

BEWARE OF PEOPLE NAMED JONES OFFERING YOU KOOL–AID TODAY: It's 53 and
the sun is mostly obscured by clouds. Up around 6:00 for a bit, tossed
two stuffed trash bags. Back to sleep until about 9:00. Called Mom,
she's trying to find a flu shot (I did some looking on the Internet
for around there but had no luck: the health department one county
over did say they had them on their Web site but I'm not sure they'd
want an octogenerian from one county over). Went over for tortilla
soup and a combo plate (one taco, one enchilada, one tamale: all of
them made from ground beef). Doing Quicken, reading E–mail, watching
the stock market, etc., with the local NPR station in the background.
For the day post–shower:
White T–shirt
Light gray sweat pants
Nike Air Trainer Kukini sneakers (black/grays)

BACK TO THE SALT MINES TODAY: It's 57 and clear at the moment in
Houston (really strong light coming in late in the afternoon,
unfortunately, right on the screen!). Up about 7:30. Out went the
trash like always on Monday. To work via Kroger (absent–minded
professor forgot to put some stuff in the fridge that should have
cooled off). At lunch, the TV was on the FOX News Channel was the
incident with Nike's corporate jet* having a landing gear problem. I
had about five hours of E–mail and then the pipe ran dry. I then
started reviewing stuff my backup did on my code when I was gone (he
tried to run my tests, one needs fixing because of other people's code
changing and another he got the wrong version... the other five DID
run for him but I'm going to double–check that he ran the right thing
after the wrong thing.) Came home, grabbed the mail, fed myself, now
in front of the computer. The local NPR station is in the background,
wanted peace and quiet. For the day post–shower:
Yellow T–shirt (no project logo, alas)
Brown chinos
Nike Air Presto Praia iD sneakers (yellow/brown)
http://sneakers.pair.com/l/presto41.jpg
* – All the rocket scientists were trying to debug the plane by
yelling suggestions at the TV, other than the ones that said "lacing
up their Nikes so they can get out quick won't do any good if they're
crispy." <grin/duck> I was much more optimistic: "They haven't bought
the farm until the engines have stopped and the plane is in pieces."
The optimists won this one, they got the gear down and locked by some
fiddling and landed normally.

THANKSGIVING DAY: It's 64 and low fog in places this morning in
in Houston. Tired last night, but I feel caught up now on sleep now; I
still feel like "more desire to do stuff than energy to do it." (Good
old hypokalemia and/or hypothyroidism: we're chasing the right doses
but the stabilization period is too long even though the TDM is too
frequent. <grin/duck>) Up for good about 7:30. Turned on NPR, called
the Farm. Started the Thanksgiving soup. When you cook your own stuff,
you get what you want... a soup with 9 veggies in it (one of the
ingredients is V–8 juice but some of those veggies get duplicated by
discrete veggies added to the pot, but the corn is unique) and no
leftover turkey! (Leftover soup is fine if you're a soup lover like
me... leftover turkey gets to be like chewing Styrofoam after a while.
As Walter Cronkite would say, "And that's the way it is." <grin/duck>)
For the day:
White T–shirt
Black shorts
(something on my feet if I venture out like Mom recommends)
wac...@AOL.com
Low key today because I'm still shopping in the eleventh hour. Gap
jeans and t–shirt (it's warm here in NY) UGGs (can't live without
these).
Pearl earrings (I can't live without these either).
Happy Christmas to all!

sunny and low 40's today
–white v–neck l/s t–shirt w/Disneyland embroidered across the chest
–black Newport News shape FX bootcut pants
–black socks
–black low boots with 3" square heels
–big double ring gypsy–like earrings
–hair down but swept up on sides with small gold clip
–for outside, multicolored plaid scarf and an Old Navy black belted
trench coat
"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
heavy morning fog but it turned into a nice day I had a pedicure this
a.m., and. yes, I wore flipflops in the cold. Lunch with my girlfriends
was at noon, a meeting with a prospective service club member and a
follow up appt. with the internist regarding my back pain at 4 p.m. Now
I need to do some major house cleanup before dinner. Anyway, I have too
many clothes. I wanted to wear the black and white wool skirt but not
with the same black turtleneck. I realized I had a
Caslon silk ribbed garnet top with v neck and 3/4 sleeves
Cynthia Steffe black and white wool tweed skirt with two layers of a
fringe fabric on the bottom. It's my I want to look younger skirt.
black DKNY tights after the toes dried
black SW loafers
black Cole Haan small hobo bag
new garnet and onyx earrings, gold watch, gold necklace with small
rubies and diamonds (my son's suggestion and he was correct)
my beautiful gold damascene bracelet from Toledo, Spain, which fell off
my arm sometime during the day...I hope I lost it somewhere at home
because I called the places I went to before I noticed it was gone :(
black 3/4 length leather jacket

CHRISTMAS EVE EVE: Got out in the morning and took a check that came
in the mail to the credit union. Then, went to Fry's Electronics
(didn't buy anything) and H–E–B (bought what I didn't buy at Kroger
Thursday on the way home from work). Came home, unloaded the car, and
went over for tortilla soup and chicken–spinach enchiladas. Decided
I'd dribbled enough stuff on me (and it was getting WARM) that I
needed a change. For the day, part #1:
White T–shirt
Gray lightweight sweat pants
Nike Air Trainer Escape sneakers (blueprint)

Part #2:
Gray heather T–shirt
Black Nike shorts, small silver SWOOSH

CHRISTMAS EVE: Got up and did some mail reading, checked E–mail and
such while listening to the local NPR station. (It's warm enough
around here that the A/C is turned on and cycling occasionally!) Went
out for tortilla soup and a chicken combo plate (one each taco,
flauta, and enchilada). Doing some bookkeeping. For the day:

drizzle
wore skinny jeans tucked into equestrian boots, fushcia tank with the
neckline trimmed in gold sequins and a Raw Seven cashmere hoodie over
that with raspberry tourmaline layered necklaces and coordinating *but
not matching* earrings.
hair got all weird thanks to the mist
