I may be speaking as an American here, think it would be weird to go

Good way to be pickpocketed or robbed.
We prefer to be more discreet about our big assets. I remember many
years ago that they said millionaires were more likely to have a Sears
credit card (very unpretentious) instead of an American Express (don't
attempt to impress people without it <grin/duck>).
But here in America, many women seem to do everything to hide their
behind.
They don't want the onehanded posters slinking out from Road Runner
to notice and comment about their beehind.
Any idea why the differences?
The USA is neither Europe nor Latin America. We don't want to be
Europe or Latin America. There are really good reasons not to be
Europe or Latin America. I'll admit that people in Europe or Latin
America may not agree.
To flip it over to the male equivalents, you won't see a Speedotype
swimsuit here unless it's on a competive swimmer participating in
competitive swimmng.
Even though, IMHO, they're much more fuelefficient as swimwear.
Fuel efficiency never mattered in America, did it? That explains the
number of road yachts I saw dead along the side of the road during the
Rita evacuation, having consumed all their fuel. While, all the time,
the Toyota owners evacuated, drove back, and went to work for three
weeks on the same tank of gas.
