Secret Santa time?

"Miss Livvy" <Xeveryidiwantistak...@yahoo.com>
Are we doing Secret Santa this year? I really enjoyed it the past 2 years.
Sorry if I'm jumping the gun or if I missed the post ...

Actually Livvy, you are probably right on the dot and there has not been a
posing (unless I missed it) about SS05

Come to think of it, I haven't seen a post by her in quite a while. Hope
she's still around and doing ok?

Cheers!

Two possibilities:
#1 – Mr. Right?
#2 – Never made the transition from AOL when they decided that USENET
on AOL should stand for "Amerika Off–Line." <grin/duck>
One Webmaster (not me) wrote in response to AOL–compatibility
complaints: "AOL is not the Internet, does not contain the Internet,
does not own the Internet and did not invent the Internet or any of
its components."
My site is so vanilla (by design) that it even runs on WebTV and smart
cellphones that have enough memory. The trickiest thing is dynamic
fonts for pages dealing with adidas, Converse, and Reebok. Try it with
a recent version of MSIE. And if people doubt it runs on a cellphone,
I'll whip out the cell and load a few small pages.
Given the latest news about AOL: Bill Gates won't buy it and Ed
Whitacre won't buy it. And if Gates and Whitacre don't think they can
fix it, it's a lost cause. Maybe Dick Notebaert will go where
technology's angels fear to tread. <grin/duck>

Not really. It is not that easy to pair up everyone especially since
participants live in many different countries. Jennifer does a superb
job handling problems and trying to make everything fair. There have
been problems especially with those who don't follow through, those
who've sent items not exactly new or within the $20 limit and just the
general complainers.

If Jennifer needs help or wants someone else to do it, I am up for it.
But I bet Jenn is just out of town

I think there's a program for "matching" people, but you need to know who
had whom last year.
Worst comes to worst, perhaps a couple of us could get together to work it
out?

hahahaha Hey thanks for the kind words about Santas past –– but I
promise, even if I have found Mr. Right, that wouldn't stop me from
being an AFer!!
A couple of days ago I realized it was About That Secret Santa Time...
but I also realized that this year, I have only posted to AF two or
three times. I thought that perhaps someone more of a "regular" might
want to do it this year, and the group might prefer that as well. I am
open to either way!
Thanks Stevie for alerting me to this thread!

My vote is that if you are willing to do it again, why mess with something
that works???

Dellapina, you're irreplacable at Secret Santa time.
The End (as my good pal EMD would say).
Vicki in DC, already scoping out goodies for AFSS and enjoying every
minute of it

You people are just too dang cool. Thanks for the vote of confidence,
I am excited and happy to get down to business!
I'll start a Secret Santa post –– I better get going! Usually I send
out matches the day after Thanksgiving. Not sure that's possible this
year because of my travel schedule. But I'll figure it out. Look for
a thread shortly!!
