Casualcorner.com & Petitesophisticate.com Closeout

"snowfoot" <lamt...@gmail.com>
Any one know why those two are closing its online store? Although I
don't shop there often, I do like to keep my online options open (it's
hard to find nice career clothes & shoes in petites these days).

I noticed yesterday in our mall that both of these stores were
closing with a large sign saying SALE, Store Closing.

There was a writeup about them in the Kansas City Star a few weeks
ago:

most likely because many who "don't shop there often" is the reason why
they are closing their online stores.
its a business to make money and not there for other's "online options"

I just did a fast google search, and the chain is closing. Sad. I've
long worn their twin sets, which were relatively inexpensive, looked
great (at least IMHO) and held up well to repeated washing. My best
customer service story also comes out of Casual Corner. I was looking
for a few things when I returned to work when One was about 8 months
old. I had located a few items to try on, but he was fussy and needed
to be fed. I asked a SA to hold my things while I went out to feed
him. Instead, she pointed out that they weren't very busy, would I
like them to bring a chair to one of the dressing rooms so I could feed
him there. And yes, I bought quite a few things that day.

OH, Noooooooooooooooo––some of the greatest outfits I own were from PS
and I always could count on finding some nice choices there. Used to
love CC too when they first came to my area back in the 60's.
I fear that the demand for small sizes has probably fallen, what with
the overweight situation in America.
Does anyone know of some place comparable to PS?

Tina,
You sound like you're a soon–to–be–former employee. I'd love to shop
there more often, but to be honest, they are/were relatively expensive,
so I try to limit my purchases. But if I needed a nice pair of slacks
in size 2 short, I knew I could count on them (as long as I was willing
to pay $50 for them).
