Shiseido to enter medical skin cosmetics market

TOKYO – Shiseido Co said Wednesday it will enter the medical skin
cosmetics market, teaming up with 20 hospitals and other medical
entities. It will introduce 16 medical skin cosmetics products
beginning this month under a new brand, Navision.
The products are designed to do such things as remove stains and
pimples, and clear away hard, dead skin. The field also involves
preventing wrinkles through injections of collagen and other
substances. Shiseido's products will come in two types: one type for
use by doctors and another for use at home.
