Sunscreen Help?!

Miss Jenney <j3nn...@hotmail.com>
Does anyone have any good recommendations for sunscreen for the face
that has both a chemical and physical sunblock? I'm trying to find
something w/ micronized titanium dioxide or something else that won't
leave me w/ a white face. I would like SPF 30 if possible. I'm also
seeing some fine lines! I'm not expecting a miracle in a bottle...
just something that won't break the bank.
Right now I am trying to decided between:
Murad's Waterproof SPF 30 for Face and Body
Blue Lizard for Face
Purpose Redness Reducing Moisturizer
Eucerin Extra Protective Moisture Lotion SPF30
Any help/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently using the Clarins UV Plus with spf40 but think Eucerin
and Purpose have excellent products.

I have very sensitive skin, and absolutely adore Kiss My Face's Face
Factor, Face + Neck SPF 30. No whiteness, no redness (a lot of
sunscreens make my face flush) and if there's a scent, I can't detect
it.

This is a good time to rave about the sunscreen I have been using
since May. It's L'Oreal Ombrelle Extreme Lotion. It has Mexoryl SX,
a chemical UVA sunblock not available in the US, plus titanium dioxide
and Parsol 1789, and is SPF 30 and unscented.
Any whitish cast left by the titanium dioxide disappears almost immediately,
unlike the Olay Complete Defense I had been using. This lotion never
stings my face, and only bothers my eyes if I'm sloppy and get it too close
to them on a hot, sweaty day, of which we have plenty here in Texas.
It feels slightly tacky when I first put it on, but that goes away quickly.
It also seems to stay in place –– every other heavy duty sunblock I used
seemed to slide into my eyes if I turned my head too fast.
Because of the Mexoryl, you can't get it in the US, but I have been buying
from canadapharmacy.com. It costs about 18 USD for a large 240ml
bottle, and the shipping charge is only 5 USD for an entire order of
OTC items.
This stuff must really be doing it's job, because several people have
recently commented on my fair complexion; this, after yet another summer
of days in the UV index 8 – 10 range.
Regards,
Leona

That's funny, because I'm Canadian. And I'm always complaining how I
can't find certain things here now that I live in the USA. I always
thought it was because it was Pittsburgh.
You've explained why I can't find my Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 60 here.
I just looked on the ingredients list... Titanium dioxide, Parsol
1789, Mexoryl SX.

Try Walgreens' Zinc Oxide Sunscreen SPR 45+. It comes in a 2 ounce
jar and price is $4.99.
Active Ingredients: Octocrylene 8.0%, Octinoxate 7.5%, Zinc Oxide 6.86%
I put in on about 5 minutes before I put on the rest of my make–up. It
has somewhat of a white cast that disappears in a those few minutes.
This is a great group. I've learned a lot but never felt that I had
anything to contribute until now.
