Do you use bleach in your laundry when you wash towels and pillowcases?

"Gray Skull" &l...@ahnn.com>
Could this have a negative effect for someone with sensitive skin?
Is it possible that the bleach could "linger" on the fabric and cause
problems when you use them?
Thanks.

I'm not sure how much it lingers but my young ones' skin is definitely
affected by their underwear when I heavily bleach them. Ditto for their
lights and whites. And when bleach is used in conjuction with a harsher
detergent, such as Tide (great but harsh), it's a killer for them especially
in the winter.

Straight sodium hypochlorite bleach (Regular Clorox and its clones)
breaks down very rapidly into oxygen and salt water.
Some of the other stuff can hang around... as can detergent.

Don't know about skin, but it sure wears down the fibers faster – I
won't have it in the house, having had a few things ruined by bleach
accidents.

I used to have a problem of breaking out a little on the right side of
my face. I went to Chanel for a makeover and the Chanel rep asked me
if I use Tide, which I did. She said Tide can be the source of skin
irritation and that it was probably from my pillow case and my face
rubbing on my pillowcase when I was sleeping on my side. I changed
detergents and I haven't had the same problem. Go figure.

All types of additives can affect sensitive skin. You might want to check:

BTW... chlorine bleach will damage your linens... check the care tag.
