where can i buy cheap t–shirts in bulk (for African kids?)

"Paul Turner" <turnerp...@gmail.com>
Hi there,
I am looking for a place that sells very cheap kids t–shirts in bulk.
Does anyone know anywhere?
My girlfriend is currently living in Malawi teaching orphan kids who
are in desperate need of clothing, mainly t–shirts.
(her blog is www.carolinetredrea.co.uk if you want to check it out)
If anyone knows of anywhere I can buy a few hundred t–shirts, or indeed
would like to donate a few hundred t–shirts then please please let me
know.
I am happy for the t–shirts to be sent direct to Malawi, or I am happy
to buy them here in the UK and ship them to Malawi myself.
I would be really greaful.
Thanks,
Paul

Only place that occurs to me off the top of my head is Dharma Trading
Company. http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/398675–AA.shtml They have
bulk discounts.

You could also try t–shirt distributors like Full Line and Broder
Brothers. They are here in the States though, but I think they would
probably be happy to help/refer you to someone UK side.
Will check with some of the suppliers I know and ask around for you.

What a great thing to do!
Paul, a couple or three years back I was looking for a supply of cheap
and cheerful T's for a tie–dying class. I have no current links, but
one of the best suppliers was the County Supplies people who supply
stuff of all sorts to schools, colleges, hospitals, county run
facilities of all sorts. you don't say where you are, but try them
first. As I remember, I picked up the info from the county catalogue,
but ordered them directly from the manufacturer.

Good luck! And when you find a good supplier, let me know! I want to
play tie–dying with the kids again!

You might try contacting the LandsEnd UK site. Don't know what their policy
is abroad, but in the US LandsEnd is known for donating returned clothing to
charity. This means if someone orders a shirt and returns it for any reason
(wrong color, wrong size etc) they don't just put it back in stock. They do
wonderful kids' clothes –worth a try!
