Hot Weather Makeup

"blueberryicecream" <shezzz...@earthlink.net>
Delurking after many, many months of reading––––
I love makeup and perfume but wonder what I can do in this hot humid
sticky weather.
I have been using OoO SPF 15 moisturizer, Bobbi Brown Shimmer brick
(rose) and lipstick, usually Nars Dolce Vita or a BB gloss. At night I
wear a bit of Studio Fix in the T zone. I can't seem to find a perfume
or scent that doesn't feel too heavy.
So what makeup and perfume/scent are you'all wearing in this hot
weather? I don't work out side of the home and am constantly running
out of hot weather and into air conditioned rooms.

For very warm days I like either CK One or the Body Shop's White Musk.
Both are light and not sweet (I love sweet scents but not when it's too
hot)

BE Bare Minerals, BE Warmth, lip balm, and Acqua di Parma Colonia,
Trussardi Skin, or Alfred Sung Sha for scent. All light, refreshing
and very heat resistant.
Seems to be working so far.

Eek. My last posting ran away from me...
As for makeup, I gamely apply BE Bare Minerals, Benefit Dandelion,
LipFusion pink gloss each morning. By noon, everything melts. There
is no hope.

Summer fragrances in rotation:
*BBW Water Blossom Ivy (now discontinued)
*L'eau de Tortu by Christian Tortu
*CSP O'Pomelo, layered over Jo Malone Grapefruit body butter
*CSP Les Enfants du Soleil (now called Coeur de Vahine)
*Sex on the Beach by Demeter
As for makeup, there's no hope. Everything melts. Gack.

I've been wearing my usual makeup, and so far have not had much of a
problem with makeup slippage in the heat. I'm not sure why because it's
been suffocatingly hot and humid here. For fragrance I've been wearing
Calypso Mimosa, which goes on floral and dries down to a very clean,
soapy fragrance. I'm a fan of light clean fragrances that are unique,
and I've got my second bottle of this waiting in the wings as I am
about to finish off the first bottle.

Most days I wear a bit of MAC Blot powder, mascara, powder blush and gloss
or lipstick. I can't tolerate much makeup in this heat and definitely no
foundation. It melts off, so it's easier to reapply the bare minimum instead
of a full face. During summer, I put more effort into skincare so I can get
away with wearing less makeup.
For fragrance, I generally wear citrus scents in the summer. Right now it's
mostly Fekkai's Eau du Jour and BBW Coconut Lime Verbena.

Well, it's not hot here... in fact, you need a light jacket. (Or I do,
anyway, being slightly on the cold side most of the time)
Fragrances... light, light light!
Clinique's Happy Heart
Manifesto
Iunux Eau Blanche (really love this... but it does disappear after a
while so some may not be into it)
Other care––
L'occitane The Vert body wipes (anyone else use these? They are
perfect for wiping down after yoga and going out to meet friends... )
Makeup
Tarte Pop Tarte trifold eyeshadow compact
24/7 lipcolors in Teatime and Happy Hour
Jo Malone mascara from the Facial finishers line
The Balm lipgloss, either Tutti my Frutti or Water my Melon
