I just bought:
a bottle of Rice Flower and Shea lotion for $4.50
a bottle of Tutti Dolce Chocolate Eau de Toilette, $12.00 for 1.7
ounces
one bottle of Summer Fruit and Jasmine body wash and two SFJ body
lotion, $2.25 apiece
********
I stopped in on the way home from the office, intending to pick up a
couple of bottles of my beloved Coco Cabana, my summer favorite, and
stock up on Rice Flower and Shea, which is by far my favorite BBW
scent
ever.
I couldn't find any Coco Cabana lotion, and I have this weird thing
about not buying body wash unless I can buy its matching lotion when I
am at BBW. So I skipped getting the body wash. It turns out that I
have a bottle and a half of CC lotion and 3/4 of a bottle of CC
hoarded
anyway.
I found quite a bit of the Rice Flower and Shea, but not the creamy
body wash, which I prefer; I also couldn't find any of the body cream,
merely the lotion. I knew I had some of the creamy body wash and body
cream left at home, so I figured I would round it out with the lotion.
There are plenty of people who hate that scent, but I really love it.
It is so gentle and delicate.
My friend, who is a marketing expert, a guru really, helped BBW with a
lot of its marketing strategy way back when the company was in its
infancy. He says that the whole strategy of bringing back products
once or twice a year at certain prices is perhaps the most effective
way to move product. When you perceive that something is going going
gone! you are much more inclined to buy more. The natural human
tendency is to stockpile.
Thank our CroMagnon ancesters. ;)
I forgot all about the rice flower and shea. I love that scent so I
will look for it this week. I like to take the small travel size when I
am out of town.
