Hello all,
I'm finally cleaning out my makeup closet and want to pare down to
basic
essentials (that and the 1000 most used lipsticks). My dilemma is for
eye shadows.
The quad I have for MAC I really l like although they are a bit
shimmery
and are hard for me to blend. Bobby Brown seems to deposit too much
color and is difficult to blend. Still is OK but doesn't last too
long.
Other than the whole thing being due to my poor technique (which is
very
probable), which shadows do you prefer and why? I'm trying to stick to
classic colors (tans, peaches, browns).
Thank you
Paula
Paula, do you use brushes to apply the shadows? My favorite are Shu
Uemura brushes but I also like MAC and Bobbi Brown. You deposit color
according to what you put on the brush. Swipe lightly if you don't want
a lot. I'm no longer the Stila fan that I was when Stila was first
introduced but I keep a palette of favorite neutrals and peach shades.
I think MAC is by far the best for the $ but I have more Bobbi Brown
than anything else. Seriously, work on your technique before you get rid
of a lot.
If the makeup artists such as Blushun and Diane lurk here and see your
post, they may be able to help you more with technique.
