What I Bought Today

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
I went to a local boutique and bought a pair of Alexia Crawford
earrings, dangling but not too long pieces of red stones and oval mop
stones. I can't find a picture but some of her designs are shown on
this side http://tinyurl.com/ab5zo
and thank you cards from the American Museum of Natural History that
have a design taken from K Kozumi's One Hundred Birds and Flowers in
Japan.
My daughter bought awesome huge dangling turquoise earrings.

Last night at Nordstrom, actually. Got some new Danskos. They had one style
that was on sale for about 30 dollars off at the Half Yearly Sale, but I
didn't get those. Those were an open toe style that was just far too similar
to my Danskos in the Molly style, which I think has now been discontinued. I
got the ones with an ankle strap and a closed toe, instead. They're the
Margrete Latigo style in Black with some little cut out designs along the
side. Cost a lot more, but I feel that it's worth it to *not* have two pair
that look so much the same.
Here's what they look like.

Mmmm...those sound so nice. I really love my dangling teardrop turquoise
earrings. They're sterling silver. (Mine are kinda' long, but not so huge
that they look like something gaudy that Mrs. Roeper would wear on Three's
Company. LOL...) I've had them for years and they've never fallen apart or
anything. What type of metal are your daughter's or are they somehow beaded
or something instead? I think turquoise looks really good with sterling,
especially in the Summer. So does Onyx.

The metal is thin gold and unfortunately I don't know the designer but
can find out if I return to the store. It suprised me that it wasn't
silver. The store is a local boutique and the owner has an eye for
great accessories.http://www.ambiancesf.com/index.cfm This is the San
Francisco store. Ours is no longer affiliated with it but has many of
the same items. Her earrings were no more than $35. She has long,
thick curly hair and she is 5'10" so she can wear a dramatic looking
earring.
